Tony Award-nominated actor Daniel Watts, Myra Lucretia Taylor, Dawn Lewis and many others will return to Broadway's "Tina Turner Musical." Meanwhile, actress Adrian Warren will reprise the role after resuming her performance on October 8.
"Tina Turner Musical" tells the life of famous singer Tina Turner, including her escape from her hometown, her initial fame, and her break with ex-husband Ike Turner. The musical featured several of her hits, including "Rivers Deep and High", "Private Dancer" and "Best".
The musical was directed by Felida Lloyd and written by Pulitzer Prize winner Catori Hall in collaboration with Frank Kettlell and Keith Prince, and choreographed by Anthony Van Rast.
Before the musical returns, fans can watch the documentary "Tina" on HBO Max; the film contains footage from the night of the Broadway musical's premiere.
