Mission is higher than life

In 2013, during a certain type of missile test mission, the test failed to proceed as scheduled because the radar could not properly capture the target. After the industrial sector viewed it, it was recommended to cancel the mission, taking into account the potential danger of the missile.

Xu Wanggen, the captain of the ship's cabin section and a first-class sergeant major, drilled into the hot, dim and narrow test chamber, and with the skill of being familiar with hundreds of pipes on the ship, he finally eliminated the fault.

In May 2019, the Ship Bi Sheng carried out a certain type of missile test mission, which required the test of missile performance in the event of high winds and waves. However, on the day of the test, the sea conditions suddenly changed and the wind weakened. Officers and men swayed the ship through the reduced swing fin, found that the cycle law was too strong, and artificially increased the swing amplitude through steering.

This is a sailing maneuver that challenges the limits and is also a risky and difficult operation. Under such irregular swaying, it is easy to affect the initial attitude of the missile after the barrel is released, the angle is not enough, the height is not enough, and there is a danger that the missile will hit the ship or crash the ship.

The ship suddenly turned left and right, and when the window appeared to fully meet the needs of the high sea test, with a command, two missiles roared out. The various operational indicators of the new missile have been comprehensively verified in the context of similar actual combat.

In the high-intensity and high-risk scientific research battlefield, the officers and men of the Bi Sheng ship have completed more than 300 major test tasks, setting a record for the highest number of missiles launched by naval ships, and are known as "naval meritorious test ships" .

Set several records

It was a thrilling experience. A supersonic missile swept across the sea and flew towards the Bi Sheng ship.

According to the minimum launch conditions, the maximum allowable error of the launch ship position is several hundred meters per missile test. In order to ensure the absolute safety of the test, officers and men have tried their best to narrow the margin of error, and so far it has never exceeded 10 meters.

One year, during the ship's long-voyage navigation test mission, it failed to collect data in time due to the failure of test equipment, which meant that the data collected in the early stage would also become invalid.

On that day, the sea was windy and high, and accurately finding the location of the ship with lost data in the harsh sea conditions was like finding a needle in a haystack. The officers and men of the Bi Sheng ship accurately grasped the elements affecting the navigation and perfectly docked with the lost point. Relying on the valuable data obtained, the improved equipment successfully passed the assessment and verification, and the main battleship of the unit was installed.

For 15 consecutive years, the Bi Sheng ship was rated as a "military training first-class unit", and set a number of records in the history of the Navy such as the most missions performed by the test ship, the longest voyage, and the longest sailing time.

Strengthen the management of the army according to law
