In the 1920s, the Xinhai Revolution led by Sun Yat-sen overthrew the feudal monarchy that had ruled China for more than two thousand years and established the Nanjing Provisional Government. Later, Yuan Shikai pretended to agree to persuade Puyi to surrender and help establish the Nanjing government, with him as the president of the new government. However, when Yuan Shikai came to power, he began to slowly weaken the power of the revolutionary party and try to restore the imperial system.
There are many negative evaluations of Yuan Shikai, who people believe that he stole the fruits of the Xinhai Revolution, hindered the progress of history, colluded with imperialism for his own selfish desires (wanted to be emperor), and did not hesitate to persecute the interests of the masses of the people.
For Yuan Shikai's family, although it is not as hateful as Yuan Shikai, it also annoys the world. In fact, Yuan Shihai has a grandson named Yuan Jialuo, a world-famous physicist, after his completion, he devoted himself to the research of radio, and contributed a lot to the country.
Yuan Jiaxiao's father was Yuan Kewen, who was the second son of Yuan Shikai, who was passed on to Yuan Shikai's great-aunt Tai Shen when he was young, because Shen had no children under his knees, so he especially favored Yuan Kewen, which can be said to be obedient. Yuan Shikai also especially liked this son, Yuan Kewen was particularly naughty and intelligent when he was a child, had the ability to never forget, and also liked to sing Kunqu opera.
Due to the favor of the family, Yuan Kewen was born with a temperament, in addition to the original wife, he also married 5 other aunts, Yuan Jiaqiu was born to him and the first aunt Xue Liqing. After Xue Liqing gave birth to Yuan Jialuo, because she was not accustomed to the confinement life in the mansion, she went away alone and flew away. When he was young, Yuan Jiaqiu lived with the main room, because he was a woman of wind and dust, and naturally he was not welcomed at home, so he developed a taciturn character.
Later, when Yuan Shikai revealed to his family that he wanted to be emperor, Yuan Kewen strongly opposed it, and wrote two poems to satirize his father, Yuan Shikai was very angry when he knew it, and he drove Yuan Kewen out. Later, Yuan Jialuo returned to his hometown in Henan with his father.
After returning to his hometown, Yuan Jialuo put all his mind on reading, because he was talented and intelligent, plus hard work, so the results of the cultural class were very good. In 1926, the 14-year-old Yuan Jialuo studied at Tianjin Nankai Middle School, and just after the new semester began, Yuan Jialuo discovered a very interesting subject- physics, and he used pocket money to buy components in middle school and assembled them into a radio.
Yuan Jiaxiao attended the Affiliated High School of Tianjin Institute of Technology and Business School, and then through his unremitting efforts, he was admitted to the Department of Physics of Peking University, and after completing his studies, he pursued a master's degree at the university. Yuan Jialuo was very interested in the radio transmitter technique that had just become popular at that time, which attracted the attention of the president of Yenching University, and the president Situ Leiden felt that Yuan Jialuo was a rare talent and hoped that he could continue his further studies.
After the death of Yuan Jialuo's father Yuan Kewen, the family road slowly fell, the original father's funeral money was still made up by several friends of his father, Yuan Jiaxiao, who wanted to continue his studies after graduation, also gave up this idea, and after completing his studies, he stayed in Tianjin and went to a coal mine as a researcher.
After Stuart Redden learned about it, he contacted all his connections and helped Yuan Jiaqiu apply for the opportunity to study at the California Institute of Technology in the United States, and attached a scholarship. It is precisely because of this trip abroad for further study that Yuan Jialuo began to rise in fame, so Situ Leiden can be said to be Yuan Jialuo's Bole.
Boarding a cruise ship to the United States, Yuan Jiaqiu deeply felt that the outside world was very big, and he still had a long way to go. At this time, Yuan Jiaqiu only had $30 on him, and he had to survive more than 20 days of sailing at sea. When he arrived at his destination, he still had $15 on him, but his weight had dropped by about 10 pounds, and the following days school was his paradise.
In 1940, Yuan Jialiu received a doctorate from the California Institute of Technology, and then entered the United States to work for a radio company, and two years later, he married Wu Jianxiong in the United States, who was also a physicist and was known as the Marie Curie of the East. After their marriage, the two had a son named Yuan Weicheng, who later became a physicist.
At the beginning of Yuan Jialuo's marriage, Wu Jianxiong shared her feelings about living with her husband with her closest friends, saying: "The love and gratuitous efforts that Yuan Jiajun showed in his dull work deeply touched me, and we sincerely loved each other." Later, Yuan Jialuo and his wife immigrated to the United States.
Yuan Jialuo's research areas are very extensive, in addition to radio, cosmic rays and other detection systems, there are also high-energy particle accelerators. He proposed for the first time that neutrons existing in the atmosphere are subparticles produced by primary cosmic rays, not from outer space. His research has made great contributions to the world's scientific and technological progress.
A happy life not only did not hinder Yuan Jialuo's academic research, but made his physical research more powerful, in 1949 Yuan Jialuo established the world's first high-frequency system, and four years later, this proton accelerator with the highest energy was successfully operated. In 1972, he won the Guggenheim Award in the United States.
In 1973, Mr. and Mrs. Yuan Jiaqiu were invited back to China by the motherland to give an academic lecture, which was personally received by Premier Zhou Enlai and other leaders, including the famous Chinese physicist Lu Heqiu, who was an alumnus of Yuan Jiaqiu at Yenching University. He is also the host of the academic speech of Yuan Jialuo and Wu Jianxiong.
Later, after in-depth discussions with Lu Heqiu, Yuan Jiaqiu learned about China's progress in academic research in physics. When Yuan Jiaqiu returned to his nuclear research institute, he put forward a request to the director to provide equipment for physics research in China, and after his efforts, the next year the China Institute of Atomic Energy arrived at a number of advanced physical research equipment, which also opened up long-term cooperation between China and Europe in high-energy physics research.
Mr. Yuan Jiaxiao, who died in Beijing in 2003, won two American science and technology awards before his death, and has been invited to many countries to give academic lectures, and his contributions are of great significance to the entire human race.
Yuan Jiaxiao was the most accomplished of all of Yuan Shikai's descendants, and because of his high achievements, people almost forgot that he was Yuan Shikai's grandson. He never mentioned this fact, he thought it was all a matter of the previous generation, and what he was doing now had nothing to do with politics.
Since then, he has returned to China many times to give academic lectures, and is very concerned about the research and development of nuclear physics in China, and has made positive and great contributions to the cooperation between China and the United States in science. Although Mr. Yuan Jiaxiao immigrated to the United States, his heart has always been linked to China, and every time he returns to China, he will return to his hometown of Xiangcheng, Henan, and he is also welcomed by the villagers.
