Q: Please talk about the feelings you have gained so far from starring in "My Hero Academia".

A: This is a work that makes people feel "invincible". The original manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen JUMP, and the work also fully reflects the theme of "friendship, hard work, and victory" that JUMP has. At the same time, you can see a lot of colors in the original work. The animation version of the picture and music make the world view appear more grand, which can be said to be a work full of personality. And for a long time, their posture of striving to become heroes is very handsome, and the heroes are not only strong enough, but also not just defeat their opponents. I think that's a great theme.

Q: What is the impression of Mr. Masuda, who you dubbed Reijima, about you?

A: This is a hot-blooded boy. He played a kind of atmosphere maker among his classmates, always raising their morale. Among the students of Xiongying High School, Cheshima appeared frank and serious. In fact, I think I actually feel a little overheated in my daily life, so this is more similar to Chejima (laughs).

Q: So when you play this role, is there anything you particularly care about?

A: In this work, many of the characters are not only very "personal" in terms of skills, but their own personalities are impressive. As for the voice actors, they are also some characters with full personalities who are not inferior to others. So I don't want to concede defeat... At least not in terms of enthusiasm. So when I'm dubbing, I try to let go of my voice and collide with the "personality" in my heart that is most similar to Chejima.

Q: So what instructions do you get when dubbing a character?

A: I've basically never had any instructions for character development or performance. Maybe when it came time to make sure I voiced the character, the producers believed, "If it's these people, then you can play it well." However, when the mood of the characters changes with the plot, the staff will give us some guidance.

Q: Speaking of Cheshima's "personality", it is to be able to "harden" his body.

A: Cheshima himself is a character who looks more rustic, which is similar to mine. Therefore, his ability is not beyond my imagination. But as proud of the character's "personality," I was envious when I saw the characters around me either blasting or using fire or ice (laughs).

Q: Speaking of which, among so many characters with "personalities", who would you most like to have?

A: I think it's the ability to "brainwash" people's minds. This should be the strongest ability. As long as you have the ability to activate, you can create an environment that is beneficial to yourself. However, it seems that only some evil usage can be thought of, so it is more like the skills used by the villain (laughs).

Q: According to the plot, Chejima participated in the battle with Ikuhisa and others to rescue Pop Hao, so what are your feelings at present?

A: While Iku and the others were planning to rescue Hiro and the others, Chejima was left in the classroom and could do nothing. Because he is not yet a professional hero, even if he knows that he should not help, Chejima will still feel entangled in his "obvious hero but do nothing" and feel angry at his unreliability. Therefore, when the actions of Iku and others failed, Chejima had a feeling of "this time it is my turn".

Q: So finally, please say a few words to everyone.

A: The plot of this work can be described as suitable for all ages, and the characters with different "personalities" in the work seem to be very attractive, and the hopes and entanglements they have are particularly dramatic, and sometimes people can't help but think about it.

"My Hero Academia" tells the story of various superpowers that have been discovered in the world, but people can't tell why. With the passage of time, unconsciously "overhead" has become "everyday", and "fantasy" has become a reality. In a superhuman society where nearly 80% of the world's total population has some special physique, a profession that no one could only dream of in the past has entered the stage of history: heroes. The protagonist of the work, Midori Teihisa, an incompetent teenager, is eager to become a hero...
