Ukiyo-e, also known as Japanese genre paintings, prints. It is a unique national art that emerged in Japan during the Edo period (1603-1867, also known as the Tokugawa shogunate period), and is a typical art of Hana-jae-Ryū-en. It mainly depicts people's daily lives, landscapes, and plays. Ukiyo-e is often thought to refer specifically to color-printed woodblock prints (known in Japanese as Nishiki-e), but in fact there are hand-drawn works. In Asian and world art, it presents a unique tone and abundance, which has been deeply influential in Eurasia for more than three hundred years, and the masters of european schools from classicism to impressionism in the nineteenth century were also inspired by this style of painting. Ukiyo-e has a high artistic value.
