It has been 15 years since our troupe first came to Shanghai in 2005.
Over the years, I have successively arrived in Shanghai with "Fan Jinzhongju", "Fu Shan Jinjing", "Shangma Street", and "Yu Chenlong", and have twice won the Magnolia Drama Award for Leading Actor and a Special Contribution Award. Niu Jianwei, an actor in our group, also won the protagonist award, and four actors, Liang Meiling, Wang Bo, Wu Yunhua and Liang Zhongwei, won the supporting role award. During this period, I also participated in several performances at the Magnolia Awards Gala and the 20th anniversary celebrations. In this way, the distance between me and Shanghai has become closer, and the relationship with Magnolia has become deeper and deeper.

However, before coming to Shanghai 15 years ago, I was worried that the southern audience who were accustomed to listening to Shanghai opera and Yue opera would accept the singing and performance style of our Jin opera, after all, Jin opera rarely came to the south, and it has been 69 years since the last time Master Ding Guoxian first brought Jin opera to Shanghai.
At that time, I visited Mr. Yuan Xuefen, a Yue opera performance artist, and the old man was very kind to the younger generations, thinking that he had not seen Jin opera again for decades, he repeatedly asked about the development of our drama genre. When I was parting, she personally sent me to the door and said: "You can act with confidence, show the characteristics of your drama genres and good things to Shanghai, show them to more audiences, and hope that you can often bring Jin opera to Shanghai." "This kind of love and concern is like giving me a reassuring pill.

On the big stage of the Magnolia Drama Award, I have won everyone's support and attention with Jin opera again and again. All the recognition and honors given by the Magnolia Drama Awards continue to enhance the cultural self-confidence of the actors. The popularity and influence of this award, as well as the rigorous and fair judging standards, have attracted all kinds of artists from home and abroad, which has greatly broadened the horizons of actors.
With the push of the platform of China Shanghai International Arts Festival, we took Jin opera out of the country and performed in Japan, Russia, France and other countries, so that more people at home and abroad knew the jin opera genre. Every time we come to Shanghai, we exchange and learn with various artists participating in the exhibition and listen to the different suggestions given by many experts and teachers, which promote the continuous improvement of our own quality.
I always have a closeness and gratitude for Shanghai. Thank you for Shanghai's love for me, thank you for shanghai to accept and recognize me and my sincere and beloved Jinju art, and thank you for providing many opportunities for us to exchange and learn with domestic and foreign artists, so that more people can understand Jinju art and Shanxi culture.
