Wang Xuan first took the lead in giving poems to the eight views of Lingshui one by one, and later the literati poetry Xing, but also lyrical poetry for the eight views of Lingshui. According to the "Chronicle of Lingshui County" edited by Qu Yunkui, there are 73 surviving poems of the Eight Views of Lingshui, all of which are the works of qing dynasty people, and there are 9 authors, and Wang Xuan has won the reputation of "excellent in literature and deeds".

The sights of the Eight Views of Lingshui (often referred to as the "Old Eight Views") and their poems are found in the Chronicle of Lingshui County (57th year of the Qianlong Dynasty, 1792 AD) edited by Qu Yunkui. He said in the "New Eight Views": "To xiuyi multiplied, according to the eight views of the old zhi, its traces are not to be examined...".
