Group photo of Chinese emperors (Zong Zhou chapter) Zhou Yi Wang Zhou Yi Wang Zhou Li Wang Zhou You Wang Summary

author:Southeast Wild Old

Zong Zhou, originally referred to the Western Zhou capitals of Fengjing and Hojing, was later known as Western Zhou. The reason why the Zhou Dynasty was broken into two pieces was because the Western Zhou Dynasty accounted for a very large proportion of Emperors, and it was a dynasty where Emperors were gathered.

There must be many friends who disagree, saying that the Western Zhou Dynasty was one of the best times in Chinese history, with the development of liturgy and civilization, how could there be a faint monarch? If you want to talk about the Emperor of Dusk, at most, it is the King of Zhou You, who is the prince of the Beacon Theatre, and the King of Zhou Li, who caused the riots of the people. In fact, of the twelve monarchs of the Western Zhou Dynasty, four of them met the standard of the Emperor. In two weeks and eight hundred years, in the two hundred years of the Western Zhou Dynasty alone, there were four emperors, accounting for one-third.

At the beginning of the Zong Zhou Dynasty, unlike the Shang Dynasty, the emperor was changed to a king, and at the same time he was called "Tianzi", and the king and the tianzi appeared in the title of supreme ruler almost simultaneously.

Territory of Western Zhou

The four emperors of Western Zhou were the seventh monarch Zhou Yi (after the destruction of the Shang Dynasty), the ninth monarch Zhou Yi, the tenth monarch Zhou Li, and the twelfth monarch Zhou You.

The Law of The Tantra says:

Gentle virtuousness, gentle sage yi, body and center yi, loving the hostage good yi, soft ke has light yi, immersion in light yi, walking in the chinese and foreign Yi, loving the people's quality yuan yi, de immersion in the vast Yi, Wen de enriching Yi, Bing Yi good virtue Yi, still able not to argue about Yi, the Lord's extreme purity is Yi, Rou de streamer Yi, virtuous is beautiful Yi.

The nickname "Yi" is a beautiful name.

However, King Yi of Zhou was cowardly by nature, and the history books record that he only relied on his eight years on the throne to ruin the good situation founded by King Zhou Gong, the country was corrupt, the people were not happy, and not only that, but also because the dynasty became weak and caused the invasion of Xi Rong, he was forced to move the capital to Inuqiu (present-day southeast of Xingping, Shaanxi).

It seems that he is not sorry for his nickname at all. As a cowardly king, he did not deserve this beauty.

The Law says:

Kill Bingzheng Yueyi, rest assured and quiet Yi, retreat to Seek ZhiYi, disrespectful Ji Chaos Yi.

"Yi" as a courtesy name is Pingyu, and Pingyu is generally a title given to mediocre or poor monarchs. However, King Zhou Yi was not even worthy of mercy.

After the death of his father, the throne was taken away by his uncle King Xiao of Zhou, who tried to rule for eight years and governed the country in an orderly manner.

After the death of King Xiao of Zhou, the princes, for their own wishful thinking, supported the former crown prince to succeed to the throne, that is, the King of Zhou Yi. Shortly after King Yi of Zhou took office, the princes did not reign. This angered King Yi of Zhou, who, at the instigation of Marquis Ji, killed the Duke of Qi, causing the State of Qi and other princely states to hate him to the bone. Since Zhou Tianzi could not have interfered in the affairs between the princes at will from the ceremonial law, this move actually became the beginning of the Zhou royal family itself that caused the collapse of etiquette.

The Law of The Curse says:

Killing innocents is fierce, tyranny is known as fierce, cruelty is rude, evil is strong, long tongue is evil, long tongue is harsh, violent and rude is strong, and ruthless is too fierce.

The nickname "Li" can be said to be not only a vicious one, but also one of the worst in Chinese history, comparable to "Qiang".

King Li of Zhou was absolutely worthy of this nickname.

What bad things did King Zhou Li do? In fact, to put it bluntly, it is that he does bad things himself, the minister advises, he kills, the people are dissatisfied, he kills. At the end of the killing, no one dared to speak, and he began to say: You are slandering me in your heart. So he killed another batch of people. He killed not only the ministers of the Zhou royal family, but also the princes and ordinary people.

Finally, people began to be dissatisfied. So three versions of the claim emerged.

The first theory: Zhou Gong and Zhao Gong mobilized the masses, rebelled, and used a coup d'état to overthrow and exile King Zhou Li, so Zhou Gong Zhao Gong began to unite the regency on the grounds that Crown Prince Ji Jing was still young and King Zhou Li was not dead, which is called republican in history, which means that you share the power, I share it, everyone has a share, and can achieve harmony. After the death of King Li of Zhou, Zhou and Zhao felt that the prince was still qualified, so they returned power to the prince, that is, King Xuan of Zhou.

The second theory: the common people raised an army to overthrow King Li of Zhou, so the princes sent a young and promising Prince of Wei, who was later the Duke of Weiwu, to act as regent, and the Duke of Weiwu was also called Gongbohe (because his brother was Wei Gongbo, whose name was He, which scholars believe was a mistake in the history books) The rest of the part is the same as the first theory.

The third theory: the regent is the communist monarch Gong Bohe, and the Duke of Weiwu are two people. (from the Bamboo Book Chronicle) The crown prince was succeeded by King Li of Zhou immediately after his expulsion. (From archaeological excavations)

First of all, the first theory is the record of traditional historiography, but also the most reliable record, and is also the mainstream view of today's academic circles (the "Bamboo Book Chronicle" has two versions of the ancient book and the present book, and it is an ancient book stolen by tomb robbers in the Jin Dynasty, which has been artificially damaged and modified many times in the process of circulation, and the record is not credible), the second and third theories have been prevalent in modern times, but in the author's opinion, because the "Bamboo Book Chronicle" in the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties has a large number of scholars who have identified it as a work of false trust, its record is not credible. However, when modern scholars study the authenticity of the "Bamboo Book Chronicle", they often quote the Qing Dynasty scholar Lei Xueqi alone, and there is no substantive innovation in the view, so in recent years, the "Bamboo Book Chronicle" has once again been disapproved by most scholars. In addition, the "Bamboo Book Chronicle" is excavated from the tomb of the State of Wei, and the events itself recorded are also a long time away from the Western Zhou Dynasty, Xia and Shang, but many records are different from the "Records of History", and the State of Wei is the base camp of the Legalists, and it is not surprising that there are innovative records, and its records can be regarded as a dispute between the philosophical schools of Confucianism and Law, but cannot be regarded as history itself.

Moreover, the surname and surname of GongBohe do not necessarily have a "Gong", and calling him a Republic itself remains to be examined, not to mention that the chronology of personal names does not exist in itself.

In recent years, there have been numerous articles claiming that King Zhou Li was trying to carry out reforms. But in any case, King Zhou Li was a murderous lunatic, because there was no evidence that the people rioted not because he killed people indiscriminately.

Yun Of the Laws:

Silence is not clear, movement and chaos are often hidden, early loneliness is known as the shadow, early lonely position is known as the shadow, early lonely shop is known as the shadow, disobedience and chaos are often known as the shadow, the mob is cruel and righteous, and the obscene and moral destruction of the country is known as the shadow.

As the king of the fallen kingdom of Western Zhou, King You of Zhou was absolutely worthy of the evil words given to him.

Traditional historiography generally believes that King Youwang of Zhou did not dare to guard the spirit due to the death of his father, and began to become a neurotic disease. So he began to let officials choose beautiful women. In the palace, he let the beauties strip naked and play. In order to satisfy his psychopathic needs, he killed Zhongliang, so that the minister could only choose a beautiful woman for him. Beauty didn't match his wishes and he killed them.

Later, the chancellor could not find a beautiful woman, and accidentally found that the beautiful woman of the State of Zhou was a wonderful person, so he dedicated her to the King of Zhou You, who in order to make her laugh, actually lit a beacon, and later the King of Zhou You gave birth to a son, and the King of Zhou You not only wanted to abolish the queen, but also deposed the prince, causing the dissatisfaction of the old man Shen Hou. Shen Hou invaded Hojing with Inuyasha, and Western Zhou perished.

This story actually stands up to scrutiny. First of all, if King Zhou You was timid and did not dare to guard the spirit, why did he even have the courage to kill people later? Secondly, the fact that the princes were being teased was not funny at all. Third, since Marquis Shen was the culprit of this rebellion, there was no need for King Ping of Zhou, as his grandson, to move east. Based on these three points alone, the story recorded in the Chronicle of History is not true.

However, although this record is false, it reflects people's general feelings about King Zhou You, who caused the fall of Western Zhou, saying that he was not a emperor of the Night, but also paying attention to the evidence drops.

summary

Western Zhou has two famous Emperors in Chinese history, which is the most in the Xia and Shang Dynasties (the Xia Dynasty is only famous, the Shang Dynasty is only famous), and the 841 BC Rebellion is also the first year recorded in the historiography of the history, which also proves that the history of the Western Zhou is more well known, it can be said that this is the place where the Western Zhou progressed, rather than lagging behind the Xia and Shang.
