The "Cursed 39-Year-Old" Bell Society: Those who conquered Sichuan by force in ancient times must not die?
The author of this article, Wang Hao (Kuaiza Feng), will talk with you about the rare, interesting, real and unforgettable history of China and Japan
Sichuan is a strange place, since ancient times, the people who conquered Sichuan by force, whether it is the emperor or the general, most of them will not get good retribution.
Later Tang Li Cunxun's son Li Jiquan destroyed Shu, and soon encountered a mutiny and was strangled to death on the bed by his men; the Mongol Great Khan Möngke, who insisted on attacking Sichuan, was hit by Yashi and died under the Diaoyu City of Hezhou; Fu Youde destroyed Shu in the early Ming Dynasty, and was later killed by Zhu Yuanzhang without guilt; At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Xianzhong entered Sichuan to carry out massacres, and finally was shot dead by Qing troops at the Phoenix Mountain in Xichong.
The first to start this spell were Zhong Hui and Deng Ai in the Three Kingdoms.

Deng Ai surprised the soldiers to directly attack Chengdu, Zhong Hui led a large army to attack the Sword Pavilion, and the story of the two soldiers fighting for merit and dying was very familiar to everyone, and there was no need to repeat it.
Let's talk about why Zhong Hui's rebellion failed.
Zhong Hui is the youngest son of the famous Yingchuan master Taifu Zhongxuan, who was extremely intelligent when he was young and was known as a prodigy. As an adult, he was familiar with poetry and military books, and his knowledge was wide-sighted, and the Wei state appreciated him from the emperor to the ministers, and people compared him to Zhang Liang, the military master of Xinghan. He was a close confidant of Sima Shi and did a lot of things for the tiger, such as killing the famous soldier Ji Kang. By the way, Ji Kang also died at the age of 39.

Zhong Hui conspired with the Shu general Jiang Wei to establish himself on the basis of Shu, but died in a mutiny among his subordinates. According to the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, he was killed by the hated Wei soldiers and died in the blade.
But the question is, why would the brilliant Zhong not even be able to get his own subordinates?
Because the time and place are favorable, they are not on the side of the Bell Society.
First of all, the time is not there. At this time, it was no longer the chaotic world when the masses were divided, and anyone could dominate one side. The regimes of the three countries have been stable for a long time, and the people's aspirations are unity rather than division. Zhong Hui's Shu army were all Wei people, their ancestors and families were all in Wei, after the expedition to the Shu kingdom, they thought they could return home triumphantly, who would be willing to give their lives for Zhong Hui's selfishness?
Secondly, the geographical advantages are not there. Zhong Hui wanted to emulate Liu Bei's division of territory in Shu, but he overlooked one point: how much effort Liu Bei spent in Shu land to buy people's hearts! After Liu Bei conquered Sichuan, in order to balance the two major forces of the Jingzhou and Shu clans, he emphasized fazheng, Li Yan, Huang Quan, Meng Da, Zhang Ling, Wu Yi, Jiang Hao, and other Shu clans, and only then did he gain a firm foothold in Sichuan.

Zhong Hui only collected Shu land, the ass did not sit hot, how can it convince the Shu people and subordinates? Speaking of Zhong Hui, although he was clever and witty, Sima Shi called him "Wang Zuozhicai", and he was very competent as a chief of staff, but it was difficult to be the commander of the first army, because he did not have the authority necessary for a commander- and he seemed to have strict military law in the army, but he was unpopular, and his subordinates were afraid rather than supportive. Once they learned that Zhong would kill the Wei people, their men naturally hated it to the bone, and they would not be soft in resisting.
Zhong Hui was a civilian official, unlike Deng Ai, who was a warrior, he did not subordinate himself to his own death department, only a Shu state with the heart of restoring the country to jiang Wei as a confidant, this is far from enough, even his own guards legion, how can the rebellion be successful?

Third, it is also the reason that prompted Zhong Hui to rebel. Sima Zhao no longer believed him, and in the State of Wei, Zhong Hui sent an army, and many people, including his brother Zhong Yu, thought that Zhong Hui would rebel. Zhong Yu admonished Sima Zhao: "My brother is brilliant but ambitious, and he is afraid that he will not be a subordinate, so he must not be vigilant." ”
Being suspicious of this by everyone including my brother can be described as a rebellion, if you are Zhong Hui, what can you do? The ancients wrote a poem lamenting, "If you don't learn Tao Zhuyin, you will mourn your hometown", the question is, to the extent that Zhong will be suspected, can Sima Zhao still tolerate him to go into hiding? Besides, if you don't make progress and go into hiding, is that still the character of Zhong Hui?

Zhong Hui, who died young at the age of 39, may die if he does not cut down Shu, and from the first step he took to cut down Shu, this trip is doomed to be a road of no return.
