Two of the smallest murderers in history: a teenager as young as 10 years old, committed an unforgivable crime

author:Big Lion

In 1993, a murder shocked Britain and the world, not because of how bizarre the case was, but because the killer was very different from previous suspects. The difference is that the killers were two bear children who were only 10 years old. They were Jon Winabs and Robert Thompson, respectively, and the victim of their murder was only a two-year-old child, the case that set the highest conviction of a young murderer in history.

The young boy named James Badger, who was murdered by two bear children, was brutally stripped of his life on February 12, 1993. The circumstances of the crime are unprecedentedly horrific and difficult to convict, because the murderer himself is a child.

Travel back 26 years, when Little James's mother, Denise, took him to the mall to buy something. At 3:30 p.m., they went to a butcher shop, and when her mother was paying the bill, little James ran out, and after paying the bill, her mother quickly looked around, and she didn't see little James for half a day, so she contacted the mall guard.

The guards turned the entire shopping mall up and down, but the children disappeared without a trace like evaporation in the world, and the guards, realizing that the situation was serious, had to call the police. The police recalled the video tape and checked it repeatedly, and finally fixed their eyes on the two little boys, although the image was blurred, but it could also be roughly seen that the two boys were holding the hands of little James and leaving the mall. Police immediately searched for the two teenagers, but it had been more than a day since James Jr. had disappeared.

Little James's mother was heartbroken, and through the media appealed to anyone who saw her child to contact herself, although she received a lot of clues from well-wishers, but there was no news of Little James. The police launched a comprehensive search, even the rivers and garbage dumps, but found nothing. The two teenagers were difficult to find because they could not see clearly in the videotape.

On Valentine's Day on February 14, the police informed James Jr.'s mother that the child had been found, but unfortunately, only the body was found. Discover the location of James Jr. on a railroad track in Walton, Liverpool. Because it was crushed by the train several times, the body is difficult to distinguish, if it were not for the sight of a children's stormtrooper rag, the police initially thought it was a small animal crushed by the train, after DNA identification, the police confirmed that this is the boy James Jr. who disappeared two days ago.

One of the police officers involved in the investigation later recalled, "The tactic was so outrageous that when I saw that it was a broken child, I immediately knew what had happened, but sometimes you would rather choose not to know what had happened." Because the more you know, the more painful you are..."

Although it appeared to be a train accident, police eventually determined that it was a premeditated murder, as paint and blunt object marks were found in the child's hair. Judging from the intensity of the crackdown, the police believe that it is not an adult who committed the crime, and the murderer is likely to be the two teenagers who took away little James.

Soon, through a laboratory investigation, the police first found one of the boys, Robert Thompson, and then Jon Wienabs was also arrested. As for the details of the interrogation, the police did not disclose them in detail because they involved juvenile delinquency. Just to briefly inform the media, the two children confessed to the crime of kidnapping and murder, and little James was killed by them!

After the media exposed the case, it quickly caused an uproar, and the British people were indignant, and they poured into the streets to demand a just verdict and demanded that the details of the confession must be informed.

Eventually, under pressure, the police reported some details of the confession, but there were still plenty of reservations. The confessions are roughly as follows: Jon Venabez and Robert Thompson did not premeditate the crime in advance, but suddenly decided to teach the little guy a lesson after seeing little James, who was looking for his mother. Under the pretext of taking Little James to find his mother, they took the child out of the mall and then crossed a cracked barbed wire fence to reach the more remote train lane, during which Time James Jr. cried but was threatened. While crossing the barbed wire, Little James was hit in the hand with a stone because he was clutching the iron net and refused to go, resulting in a broken phalangeal bone...

Robert Thompson claimed that Jon Wienabs found an abandoned paint bucket and found that there was leftover paint in it, so he spilled the paint on James Jr.'s face, and then shoved some of the waste batteries he had picked up into his mouth, eventually ending James Jr.'s young life with stones and fishtail plates. Realizing that they had run into a catastrophe, the two teenagers threw Little James on the rails in an attempt to create the illusion of an accident.

When the confessions were revealed, the British people demanded that the two guys, who were more vicious than the wolf cubs, be sentenced to prison. Damn, the mother of one of the teenagers, Jon Winaboos, insisted on defending her child in the media, not ashamed of what her son had done.

On 1 November 1993, the court pronounced the verdict, but both teenagers denied the crimes they had committed and remained silent. The prosecution argued that the two were "fully capable of distinguishing between right and wrong", while the defence lawyer used the Juvenile Protection Act to try to exonerate the two vicious teenagers. The families of the two teenagers also insisted that their children were innocent and that they would not apologize to the victims' families.

Ultimately, Justice Moran dismissed Jon Venabous and Robert Thompson's methods as "incomparably evil and brutal" and that their actions were "cunning and vicious" and sentenced them to eight years in prison. Shortly after the sentencing, Lord Taylor, britain's supreme court, argued that the two men's sentences should be increased to a minimum of ten years.

Although the two bad boys were put in jail and became the youngest prisoners ever in Britain, the two had a good life, even to describe it as luxurious. In order not to allow adults to bully them, they enjoy a single cell. In 2010, Jon Wienabs once lived in a "luxury cell" exposed by the British Guardian, and on his personal turf there were not only a large number of comic books, but also broadband televisions, laptops, game consoles, electric guitars, combo speakers and a personal gym, and even provided him with drum kits. During their sentences, the two can also be accompanied by their guardians to participate in various activities at all times, such as watching movies, attending parties, and Manchester United matches. In addition, there are special teachers to teach them, hoping that they can receive a good education like normal children. During their sentences, the two also found girlfriends and could go out on dates within the stipulated time.

Until their release in June 2001, the British government spent more than £5 million on the two guys in total.

However, the £5 million spent by the British government did not buy the gratitude of these two bad guys, who frequently caused trouble after their release from prison, and did not feel guilty and ashamed of what they had done that year. In 2013, 2015, and 2018, Jon Wienabes, who was already in his 30s, was imprisoned three times for various violations of the law, while Robert Thompson was everywhere and became a typical prodigal brother.
