"This morning frost weighs on the East Gate Road, illuminating the Hengtang for half a day, and it is as miserable as promised." This Wang Qingshui is exactly the Clear Water Pond written by Mao Zedong a hundred years ago.

In November 1920, Mao Zedong, He Shuheng, Peng Huang, He Minfan, Yi Lirong, Chen Zibo and six others established the early organization of the Communist Party of Changsha. A hundred years later, on the banks of Qingshuitang, on the display board of the Changsha History Museum of the Communist Party of China, this process was recorded.

"They have no slogans, no oaths, but a rock-solid faith in their hearts." Miao Bangwei, a docent at the Changsha History Museum of the Communist Party of China, used the words "extremely hidden" when introducing the section on the early organization of the Communist Party of Changsha to the visitors. "Because it was a secret work organization, the early organization of the Changsha Communist Party did not have a public office space, and the specific time, place, name, and composition of its creation did not preserve written materials, and all activities were not carried out in the name of the early organization of the Changsha Communist Party, but were led and participated in by mass organizations, open legal institutions, and individuals."

"The early organization of the Communist Party of Changsha was created under the personal leadership of Chairman Mao, which has distinct characteristics and has made outstanding contributions to the founding of the Communist Party of China." Wang Wenzhen, vice president of the Institute of Party History of the Provincial CPC Committee, introduced that the early organization of the Communist Party in Changsha was entrusted by Chen Duxiu to Be established by Mao Zedong.

After the May Fourth Movement, a group of advanced elements who believed in communism were gradually formed among the members of the Xinmin Society, a revolutionary group established by Mao Zedong and others. Mao Zedong went to Beijing and Shanghai successively, had close contact with Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, and other Marxists, and established ideological and organizational ties. On the issue of party building, Chen Duxiu made it clear that "Mao Zedong is responsible for Hunan."

After returning to Changsha from Shanghai, Mao Zedong contacted progressives through the members of the Xinmin Society to carry out propaganda and organizational activities for the founding of the party. Soon, Chen Duxiu sent a letter to Mao Zedong, explicitly inviting him to establish the same early Communist Party organization in Changsha as in Shanghai, and successively sent the monthly magazine "Communist Party" founded by the early organization of the Shanghai Communist Party and the "Communist Manifesto" published in Shanghai. Mao Zedong sent the publications to young friends to read, and recommended and disseminated among like-minded people. After careful consideration, Mao Zedong, He Shuheng, Peng Huang and six others signed the founding documents.

The early organizations of the Changsha Communist Party attached special importance to issues such as the ideology of party building and the principles of party building. After the establishment of the group, Mao Zedong, on the one hand, relied on the Xinmin Society and carried out Marxist propaganda activities in the name of the Marxist Research Society, the Cultural Book Society, and the Russian Research Society; At the same time, workers' night schools were established, Marxism-Leninism was propagated to the workers, trade unions were organized, and the workers were led in their struggle, thus promoting the integration of Marxism-Leninism with the workers' movement.

Li Da later recalled: "At that time, the party's work attached great importance to both Marxist-Leninist propaganda and the workers' movement, and the Changsha group's propaganda and labor movement had initial achievements. (Reporter Wang Weiwei Correspondent Fu Yanxing Chen Wenhong)
