業界聲音|袁輝:全行業都會與人工智能結合,其相當于基礎設施能力

問:在這段時間裡,大語言模型浪潮掀起,以ChatGPT為代表的生成式人工智能工具席卷全球,将人工智能的可能性帶入了一個新的次元。你認為AI與産業結合應用的突破将發生在哪些領域?

答:全行業都會跟人工智能結合,人工智能如同空氣、水、電,沒有哪個行業不需要,它相當于基礎設施能力;以大模型展開的AI新時代人工智能技術,有能力在同一時間推動所有行業發生颠覆性突破。

人工智能引發了第四次工業革命,會改變所有的業态以及生活,對所有行業形成巨大沖擊。比如對于呼叫中心行業,通過AI賦能,以多模态機器人矩陣和适量的客服人員,可以高效率高品質地為客戶服務,實作數智化轉型更新。

金融行業天生的屬性就是資料和算法,金融行業的客戶服務、風險控制、理财投資、市場營銷等各個環節、應用場景都面臨着人工智能的改造,而大模型成為金融機構數字化和智能化的突破口,為金融行業提供了效率提升、個性化輸出和互動能力等優勢,推動金融行業加速邁向AI驅動提質增效。

大模型也會深度融入工業領域的研發設計、生産工藝、品質管理、營運控制、營銷服務、組織協同和經營管理各環節,引發新的效率革命。大模型将開啟重塑全球制造業的競争格局,促進工業企業的數智融合,推動工業企業從制造向智造的發展。

問:AI在去年的突破性進展橫空出世,短期内你預期哪些領域的科技革命最可能逼近“奇點”?

答:今天的人工智能遠超過去的三次工業革命。人工智能的終極目标是人類所期待的“奇點”,人工智能和人類所面臨的最大挑戰,就是如何突破過去60年人工智能的理論架構,去颠覆和創造一個全新的體系,這才是奇點的未來。

就目前來看,人工智能過去60年來的整個底層理論架構沒有發生突破,奇點沒有來臨,今天的大模型不是人工智能的奇點。隻有在未來的5年-10年,底層理論架構、算法的結構重新被颠覆性突破,奇點才有可能來臨。大模型的發展,給了所有人一個重新認知世界的機會,重新認知現實世界和虛拟世界。

這一次真正的人工智能革命最終目标,在于碳基和矽基之争,即人類是否能夠重新自我覺醒。如果人類的智慧不進一步挖掘和自我覺醒的話,AI的智慧超越人類是指日可待的。

人類本身所蘊含的智慧是無盡的,但如果不去利用它,很有可能就會被機器取代。如果人類不斷地探索自己,發現這個世界的真相,AI在人類面前隻會是一個工具。

Q: We have recently witnessed the rise of large language models. Generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, have taken the world by storm. In which areas do you expect to see breakthroughs in the integration of AI and industrial applications?

A: All industries will be integrated with AI. It’s like air, water, and electricity that every industry depends on it. It is equivalent to infrastructure capabilities and the new era of AI technology developed in LLMs has the ability to promote AI at the same time, to make disruptive breakthroughs in all industries.

AI has triggered the fourth industrial revolution, which will change all businesses and everyone’s life. it’ll have a huge impact on all industries. For example, in the call center industry, through AI empowerment, a multi-modal robot matrix and an appropriate number of customer service personnel can serve customers with high efficiency and high quality, achieving digital transformation and upgrading.

The inherent attributes of the financial industry are data and algorithms. All aspects and application scenarios of the financial industry, such as customer service, risk control, financial investment, and marketing, are facing the transformation that lead by AI, LLMs have become a breakthrough for the digitalization and intelligence of financial institutions, provides the financial industry with advantages such as efficiency improvement, personalized output and interactive capabilities, and promotes the financial industry to accelerate towards AI-driven improvement in quality and efficiency. At the same time, LLMs are deeply integrated into all aspects of R&D and design, production technology, quality management, operation control, marketing services, organizational collaboration, and business management in the industrial field, triggering a new efficiency revolution. LLM will begin to reshape the competitive landscape of global manufacturing, promote the integration of digital and intelligence in industrial enterprises, promote the development of industrial enterprises from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing.

Q: AI saw significant breakthroughs in 2023. In which areas do you foresee that technology will most likely approach “singularity” in the short term?

A: Today’s AI far exceeds the three industrial revolutions in the past. The ultimate goal of AI is the “singularity” that humans are looking forward to. The biggest challenge facing AI and mankind is how to break through the theoretical framework of AI in the past 60 years to subvert and create a brand new system. This is the singularity of the future.

From the current point of view, there has been no breakthrough in the entire underlying theoretical framework of AI in the past 60 years, and the singularity has not yet arrived. Today’s LLMs are not the singularity of AI. Only in the next 5-10 years, if the underlying theoretical framework and algorithmic structure are disrupted again, will the singularity be possible. The development of LLMs gives everyone an opportunity to re-understand the world, both the real world and the virtual world.

The ultimate goal of this real AI revolution lies in the debate between carbon-based and silicon-based technologies, that is, whether humans can re-awaken themselves. If human intelligence is not further explored and self-awakened, it will be just around the corner for AI to surpass human intelligence.

The wisdom contained in human beings is endless, but if we don’t use it, it is likely to be replaced by machines. If humans continue to explore themselves and discover the truth about the world, AI will only be a tool in front of humans.
