article冠词

一、definite article定冠词the

1、表特指的人或事物

The man with a flower in his handis Jack.

2、复述前面提到过的人或事物

There is a man under the tree. The man is called Robert.

3、表独一无二的事物

The earth truns around the sun.

4、用在表示方位的名词前面

There will be strong wind to the southof the Yangtze River.长江以南地区将会刮大风

5、在序数词和形容词最高级的前面

Who is the first one to go?

Of all the stars, the sun is the nearest to the earth.在所有恒星之中太阳离地球最近

6、用在江河、海洋、山脉等名称的前面

I have never been to the Himalaya Mountains.

7、用在含有普通名词的专有名词的前面

He is from the United States of America.

8、用在姓氏之前表示一家人

The Green are going to Mount Emei next month.下个月格林一家去峨眉山

9、固定短语

at the same time与此同时

make the bed铺床

in the end最后

all the time一直

by the way顺便说一下

on the way在路上

10、乐器名称前面

He began to playthe violin at the age of 5.小提琴

补：

1、知名的名词要加the

the earth|the sun|the grass|the stars|the pla|the beach

2、生活中通称的名词前加the

the newspaper|the inter|the train

3、特定团体要用the

the rich|the poor|the young

4、月份不加the，my birthday is in June.

5、特定日期口语要用the，写作时不加the

I'll see you on the 25th of July.  # 讲话时

I'll see you on 24th July.  # 写作时

6、季节加不加the都可以，根据剑桥字典表达季节时不加the是比较正式的用法

in summer  # in the summer都对

7、hospital|school有时加the有时不加the

He didn't want to be in hospital.  # 通常指他不想在医院里当病人

He didn't want to be in the hospital.  # 指他不想待在这家医院里

When I was at school,  # 通常指你还是学生的时候

When I was at the school,  # 通常指你人在某间学校的时候，而非指你曾是学生的时候

二、indefinite article不定冠词a|an

总原则：

不定冠词a|an用在单数名词的前面；

a用在辅音开头的词前面；

an用在元音开头的词的前面；

1、泛指某一个人或物

There is a dog lying on the ground.

2、表某类人或物，区别于其他各类

An elephant is much stronger than a man.

3、表“一”这个数量

Thereisa table and four chairs in that dining-room.  # there be就近原则

4、习惯用语，用不定冠词的习语（背多分）

a bit一点

a little一点

a few几个

a lot许多

a kind of一种

a pair of一副|一双

a number of大量的

a piece of 一张|一片

half an hour半小时

have a good time玩得开心

have a cold感冒

make a noise发出嘈杂声

have|take a rest休息一会儿

三、zero article零冠词

1、专有名词和第一次使用一些不可数名词时前面通常不用

Chinais a very large country.

Manneeds air and water.

2、名词前已有指示、物主或不定代词作定语时不用

My penis much more expensive than yours.我的钢笔比你的昂贵多了

3、周、月或季节名前不用

He was born on Monday, February 18, 1995.

They usually plant trees on the hills in spring.

4、（第一次使用）复数名词表示人或事物的类别时不用

Men are cleverer than monkeys.

5、三餐前不用

We have breakfast at home and lunch at school.

6、节假日前不用

Or Children's Day the boys often get presents from their parents.

7、球类名词前不用

The children play footballon Saturday afternoons.

8、一些习惯用语中不用
