Because of this, when Emperor Taizong of Song dealt with the later combatants, he only demoted Pan Renmei's official position by three levels, but Wang Er, who was mainly responsible for the incident, was expelled. There is also a question about the number of sons of Yang Jiye, whether it is a novel or a TV series "Yang Jiajian", it is said that Yang Jiye has eight sons.
However, according to the data in the History of the Song Dynasty, Yang Jiye actually had only seven sons. Among them, Yang Yanyu followed his father to the battlefield and was martyred with him in the battle at the mouth of the Chen family valley. The other six sons basically held one and a half positions in various places. Therefore, among his seven sons, only Yang Yanyu followed his father to death in battle, and the other sons all returned to the countryside and died a good death.
Therefore, in the real history, the heirs of the Yang family not only did not go into exile in fan state, but also did not have the matter of being killed by traitors.
In addition, the Yang Liulang in the story, in the real history, should be Yang Dalang. And Yang Zongbao in the novel should actually be Yang Wenguang.
So, what's going on?
In the novel "Yang Family General", the men of the Yang family, in addition to Yang Jiye, the most famous and most familiar to everyone should be Yang Liulang and Yang Zongbao, the father and son. However, some of the stories about them in the novel are not the original face of history. Yang Jiye had a son named Yang Yanlang, and later, he was renamed Yang Yanzhao, which is not wrong, but he is not Yang Jiye's sixth son, but should be the eldest, the eldest son.
Yang Yanzhao died in 1014 AD, and according to the records of him in the History of Song, it can be seen that he was a brave and good warrior. Moreover, he shared the hardships and hardships with his soldiers, and he was very protective of the soldiers under his command, and often took the lead in charging forward.
In the more than twenty years of border confrontation, Yang Yanzhao won many battle achievements, and the Khitan people were even more frightened of him.
In addition, according to the "History of Song", Yang Wenguang should be Yang Yanzhao's son. Fan Zhongyan, a well-known general in the Northern Song Dynasty, once adopted him as a subordinate, and later, he followed Di Qing on a southern expedition, and finally, he was transferred to the post of deputy governor of Dingzhou Road, and moved the infantry army to Yuhou. It can be seen from this that the story about the "Yang Family General" is basically true and false, false and true, which makes people feel confused and difficult to distinguish.
And the story of the "Yangmen Female General", it is even more nowhere to be found, in the main history, not even a little shadow can be touched. In the records of the "Biography of Yang Ye in the History of Song", only Yang Jiye and his son Yan Zhao, and his grandson Yang Wenguang, are recorded, and none of the female relatives in the Yang family are mentioned. If, in Yangmen, there really appears in the novel of the female Haojie leading the army to fight, then there will definitely be a biography that specifically includes the deeds related to the righteous women and the festival women.
However, in the "Biography of the Spirited Daughter of Song Shi", we repeatedly consulted and carefully examined, and found a total of forty "strange women" recorded in the case, but unfortunately, none of them came from the Yang family. From this, it can basically be judged that the story of "Yangmen Female General" is just a beautiful legend that is nothing more than a fiction.
Therefore, again, if you want to understand the real history, you must go through ancient books, consult materials, and go to see the correct history. Don't judge easily based on film and television works or folklore alone, because that will make a lot of jokes.
After the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the rise of Manchuria, the invasion of "Wukou", and the rule of traitors within the Ming Dynasty, in this historical background, a large number of popular novels "Yangjiafu Yanyi" and "Northern Song Zhi biography" appeared. The full name of the "Yangjiafu Yanyi" is "Yangjiafu Generations of Zhongyong Popular Yanyi Zhi Biography", and its author has no way of verifying. These novels have made the story of Yang Jiajian widely circulated in the folk for hundreds of years and deeply rooted in the hearts of ordinary people.
