Mr. Lu Xun is a famous writer, thinker, and revolutionary army in China, who abandoned medicine and followed literature, used his pen as a knife, and wrote many works that awakened the thinking of the contemporary masses. Some people say that Mr. Lu Xun's pen is worth more than 100,000 guns, and being able to write these works is inseparable from his rich life experience and many excellent teachers. One of them is Yu Mingzhen, who studied at the Nanjing Jiangnan Water Teacher School at the age of 18, and was also the "mentor" who later sent him to study abroad.

Yu Mingzhen was a famous and prestigious family in shaoxing, Zhejiang, and later his high ancestor Yu Shanquan moved into Beijing with his family, and Yu Mingzhen's father, Yu Wenbao, was a prominent official and served as an official in Dong'anzhi County under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province. Yu Mingzhen was born during Yu Wenbao's tenure in Zhixian County, Hunan, Yu Mingzhen showed extraordinary talents when he was young, plus he has always been diligent and studious, he can write poetry when he is young, and everyone around him praises him.
In 1890, Yu Mingzhen was admitted to the Third Rank Jinshi, and in the same year he was appointed as a Shujishi of the Hanlin Academy, and soon after, he was promoted, entered the Sixth Ministry, became the chief of the Punishment Department, and became an official with real power. At this time, Yu Mingzhen was full of feelings of serving the country, and after becoming an official, he began to exert himself to govern and seek the welfare of the people. The people saw what Yu Mingzhen had done and were very grateful to this official who had made a peaceful life for them.
Yu Mingzhen's enthusiasm prompted him to join the camp of fighting against the Japanese army, but unfortunately, the resistance to the Japanese army was defeated and he had to go elsewhere. There were still many able men who threw themselves into the war to defend the national territory, but all of them ended in failure. Therefore, Yu Mingzhen took the initiative to ask for help, ostensibly to maintain the face of the Qing Dynasty, and returned to the official field, in fact, in order to join the support of Shi Yi's long skills to control Yi.

At the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War, Yu Mingzhen was sent to Ryukyu as a political envoy, and he personally went into battle to win victory for the country. Unfortunately, after a hard struggle, it was still a fiasco, the corrupt and incompetent Qing government ceded Ryukyu to Japan, Yu Mingzhen was extremely angry after receiving the news, and also completely recognized the corruption and incompetence of the Qing Dynasty. At a time when the country was facing life and death, it was impossible to escape from the battlefield, but the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War also made Yu Mingzhen realize that he alone could not change the status quo, and he must find a way out for China again in order to save this country that has decayed from the inside out.
Yu Mingzhen twice led students to study in Japan during his tenure as the superintendent of the Nanjing Jiangnan Water Teachers' School, among these students was Lu Xun, who was willing to bow down to the cattle, Yu Mingzhen learned about the local education and military development in Japan, got new inspiration, and during his time in Japan, Yu Mingzhen's many contacts with Lu Xun made him have a great interest in Lu Xun.
In his article "Trivia", Mr. Lu Xun described the Jiangnan water teachers at that time, the students in the school did not do their proper work, the whole school was smoky, the teaching content of Mr. Lu Xun in the classroom was outdated, and the leaders of the school were also confused and engaged in feudal superstition. This also made Yu Mingzhen feel that the domestic education reform was imminent, so after returning to China, Yu Mingzhen immediately threw himself into the ranks of education reform. In the contact with Yu Mingzhen, Lu Xun was also influenced and chose to study medicine in Japan, so that he could use his medical skills to save the people from water and fire in the future.
During the reform of the law, Yu Mingzhen took advantage of his position to vigorously support Kang Youwei, Liang Qichao and others, and participated in the new policies implemented by Chen Baozhen, the governor of Hunan, to help them implement the new law, sparing no effort. Yu Mingzhen rushed between the conservatives and the reformists, and seemed to see the hope of a strong country and a rich country, but this damaged the rights and interests of the Manchu imperial family and nobles, and finally under the power of Empress Dowager Cixi, he only maintained the 100-day restoration and change, died, Tan Si and others were killed, and Kang Youwei fled to Japan.
This made Yu Mingzhen feel so sad that he had not eaten for two days and became depressed. Then he decided to educate and save the country, learn new knowledge and new ideas, and let the younger generations know the shame and then be brave. Sure enough, with his efforts, the seeds of the restoration and transformation method could continue to germinate.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="12" > generations of talents</h1>
Yu Mingzhen died of illness at the age of 58, his life has always been for the country, in education and military achievements, in addition to everyone knows Mr. Lu Xun, the famous master of traditional Chinese studies Wang Boxun is also his student. Yu's descendants also inherited his ambitions and continued his unfinished business, and they have achieved outstanding achievements and reputations in all walks of life.
Yu Mingzhen's eldest son, named Yu Dachun, studied in Japan, participated in anti-Qing activities in the early days, and later went to Germany to study, and after completing his studies, he resolutely returned to his motherland to show his ambitions, and he also served as the director of the Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Communications. Yu Dachun's third son, Yu Qiwei, did not study abroad like the eldest son, Yu Qixiao, but studied at Nankai Middle School in China, and after completing his studies, he joined the Communist Party in 1932, became a glorious revolutionary, and threw himself into the movement to save the people.
Yu Mingzhen's great-grandson also joined the Communist Party after joining the work, and when he went to college, he had a heart to serve the country, majored in missile control in college, and after completing his studies, he threw himself into the country's missile construction.
Yu Mingzhen's nephew, Yu Dawei, served as the director of the Military Engineering Bureau of the Nationalist government. At the beginning of the founding of New China, Yu Dawei followed Chiang Kai-shek into exile in Taiwan and was appointed minister of national defense. From then on, Yu Dawei died of illness in Taipei in 1993, and this well-known scholar who was praised as The "Father of Military Engineering" in China never returned to his hometown to reunite with his relatives.
The achievements of Yu's descendants are far more than that, as the saying goes, it is not more than three generations of wealth. However, the descendants of Yu Mingzhen's family adhere to the concept of inheritance and are committed to contributing to future generations, which is also a glorious lintel.
Yu Mingzhen was born into a famous family and made great contributions to saving the Qing Dynasty. Although there was a passion for blood, it failed to wait for the dawn of victory. Yu Mingzhen's achievements in education can be seen in Lu Xun and his descendants. In his later years, Yu Mingzhen devoted himself to writing books and sayings, and he also lost the true color of "juvenile poetry". He once wrote in a poem: Looking back at the YuanQi of Junshan Mountain, the vicissitudes of the waves have become a man. Please write today's West Lake shadow into the dream chest of the clouds. In his later years, he still had such ambitions, it is no wonder that there are so many excellent students and descendants.
