There is nothing wrong with killing corrupt officials. But Zhu Di's next behavior was intolerable to anyone. After Zhu Di killed his nephew and usurped the throne, the palace people, female officials, and eunuchs in the Jianwen Emperor's palace were killed several times, and he killed more than 14,000 people at one time, and the Nanjing Imperial Palace at that time could be said to be full of corpses and rivers of blood. If it is understandable to brutally kill old ministers in order to maintain rule, then the murder of wives and daughters of old ministers, the killing of innocents, and even the slaughter of civilians, is incomprehensible in any way. It can only be said that Zhu Di is too brutal.
