Eurogamer:

Guardians of the Galaxy is sometimes enjoyable to play, but is held back by a large number of unnecessary systems and brainless enemies with a lot of blood.

IGN:8/10

Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy balances hilarious, action-packed adventures with some truly heartfelt storylines, and your choices can add some surprising personal twists to the game. Its combat and level design is relatively simple, but still consistently entertaining, but the relationships and jokes between the characters keep the whole process fresh.

It won't attract the attention of the world, but it's another compelling example of how much fun a linear, purely single-player game can have.

Polygon:

I expected "Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy" to blow up aliens everywhere in a spaceship, but as one of the most emotionally resonant video game stories in recent memory, it is easy to make it the biggest surprise of 2021.

Gamespot:7/10

Eidos Montreal's version of Guardians of the Galaxy taps into the weird side of Marvel Comics, providing a fleshed-out story about famous heroes.

merit:

An option-driven dialogue system underpins the results-driven story

Excellent voice acting gives the superhero story plenty of emotion

In addition to the already great game soundtrack, there is also a large collection of 80s classic music

shortcoming:

The unique abilities of the different characters do not matter, resulting in a lack of strategy in combat

The repetition of environmental puzzles and the lack of significant diversity become a tangible obstacle

PC Gamer:70/100

The game is charming and heartwarming, but it is plagued by technical problems. If you don't have to face the game crash problem after reading the file, you can get an unexpectedly good time.

Easy Allies:8/10

Even if you're tired of endless Marvel content, Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy has shown sincerity. The actors bring unforgettable performances, and meaningful exploration and narrative decisions further highlight this.

Although the adventure gradually loses its appeal due to being too familiar with fighting, the guardians of the galaxy joke with each other to keep the game a fun. Eidos Montreal brings an unforgettable adventure – the team genuinely accepts each other, which makes the story stand out.

Game Time:

If you pass this game because of "Marvel Avengers", then you are afraid of going to the treasure. With no online multiplayer, no open worlds, no gear-driven design, or even side quests, it's a purely narrative-oriented single-player game.

Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy isn't brilliant in terms of gameplay, but it tells a pretty interesting story and immerses me in a superhero adventure with ups and downs. It didn't have the ambition to storm the game of the year, but it did a complete job.
