On September 18, 2019, South Korean police identified the real perpetrator of the Hwaseong serial murder case as Lee Chun-jae through DNA.
The murderer has not been found for 20 years, because in 1994, Li Chunzai was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping and killing his wife and sister.
What is chilling is that during his service, Li Chunzai was also named a "model prisoner" for his good performance, and if there was no such thing, he would probably be released early soon.
Li Chunzai confessed to a total of 34 sexual assaults, killed 14 women, raped 9 women, and the details of the remaining cases cannot be verified due to their age.
