The moon is missing a full moon, and the Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner. "May people be long-lasting, thousands of miles together", throughout the ages, the moon has pinned Chinese endless romance and beautiful yearning. And today, I would like to share a small poem by the French poet Verlaine, "The White Moon". This little poem was included in his collection of poems, The Song of Beauty (1870), which he wrote at the age of 26. Verlaine's poetry is known for its elegance, femininity, and musicality. The original text of this little poem goes like this:
The White Moon
luit in the woods.
From each branch
share one vote

The pond reflects,
deep mirror,
the silhouette
black willow
