Rare "first-hand typhoons" made landfall in Fujian
Historically, there are two kinds of typhoons that have landed in Fujian: one is a "second-hand typhoon" that has been severely weakened by passing through the high mountains of Taiwan Island, such as the "Catfish" in 2016; and the other is a "first-hand typhoon" that bypassed or rubbed across Taiwan Island and the core structure was directly ashore in Fujian without destruction, such as "Meranti" in 2016.
This time, "Mikra" completely bypassed the island of Taiwan and directly attacked Fujian, which is obviously a "one-handed typhoon".
According to big data from the China Weather Network, more than 70% of the typhoons that landed in Fujian between 1949 and 2019 were "second-hand typhoons", so it is very rare for Fujian to usher in a "first-hand typhoon". Its impact is greater, the damage is stronger, the trees in many parts of Fujian are lodging, the wind is fierce, and the rainstorm is coming.

In response to the "Mikla", the National General Defense Department decided to launch a flood prevention and typhoon level IV emergency response at 16:00 on August 10. At 17:00 on the 10th, the China Meteorological Administration launched a three-level emergency response to major meteorological disasters (heavy rain and typhoons).
At the same time, Xiamen, Fujian Province, launched a three-level emergency response to typhoon prevention; Zhangzhou upgraded the typhoon emergency response to Level I and issued a typhoon red warning; and the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a forecast of high winds and precipitation.
