"The Source of Civilization and the Ancient Tea Tomb" Prologue III: Yunyang Mountain is the spiritual mountain of the Tea Tomb and one of the earliest sacred mountains in human history

In the ancient and magical Tea Tombs, Yunyang Mountain is the blessed land, holy mountain and spirit mountain of this land. Many scholars who study ancient civilizations come here to investigate and study. Professor Du Gangjian, a representative of neo-Confucianism on the mainland and pioneer of the world's new concept of history, is one of them. After working at Hunan University in 2009, he has come to Chaling for many times to investigate and study the ancient Chinese civilization with Yunyang Mountain as the main body. Recently, the book "The Source of Civilization and the Ancient Tea Tomb" written by him for many years was officially published, which is undoubtedly of great significance to the research and dissemination of ancient Chinese civilization.

According to the "Records of History" and other records, Chaling was established as a county in the fifth year of Han Gaozu, that is, in 202 BC. However, according to the archaeological findings of the ancient city of Yuechu in Xiaotang and the records of ancient books such as "Zuo Zhuan", the history of Chaling County is likely to be the middle and late Warring States period. In the Yuanhe County Chronicle's explanation of the origin of the place name of Chaling, "tea" is a key element in the name of Chaling. According to historical records, Chaling is called Tea Town because of "Linggu Duosheng Tea Tea", and it is named Chaling because "The Yandi Shennong Clan collapsed at the end of the Tea Town". Chaling is the only administrative county in Chinese history named after tea. "Tea town" refers to the area through which tea flows; "tea" refers to the river that originates from the wilderness of the tea mountains; and "tea mountains" refers to the mountains that produce tea. The name of Chaling "Tea Mountain" began in the Qin and Han Dynasties, and is the earliest recorded "Tea Mountain" in historical documents.

Before the ninth year of the Sui Kai Emperor (589), the earliest county-ruled ChawangCheng in Chaling had been in the historical Chaling Township, that is, the Tea Township, which is now lianxi village in Huotian Town. After four years of Tang Wude (621), Chaling County moved south to the location of the ancient city of the Southern Song Dynasty. Since then, the mountain that is the town of Chaling has also changed, so Yunyang Mountain has become the watch town of Chaling. Lu Tingcan of the Qing Dynasty clearly wrote in his "Continuation of the Tea Classic": "The tea mountain, that is, the Yunyang Mountain, has many raw tea teas in its tomb valleys. In fact, since the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, Yunyang Mountain has become the watch town of Chaling. Yunyang Mountain has a special significance in the history of Chaling and even in the history of China.

As far as the historical context of China is concerned, the most unique and clearly recorded in the history books is the "Eight Generations of Yan Emperor Juzhao Tea Tomb", and the second is that the Yellow Emperor sealed Shaohao yu Yunyang. Among them, Shao Hao was the most important of the twenty-five sons of the Yellow Emperor. That is to say, Yanhuang is the two great ancestors of China, and its blood lineage intersects in the Chaling area. Chinese are descendants of Yan Huang, and most of them can be traced back to the ancient tea tombs. The Yandi culture and the Yellow Emperor culture can be found at the same time in a county, and the history books have clear records, which is the only one in China. Before Yanhuang, the Yunyang clan of the ancient emperor had been operating in Yunyang Mountain for more than 100,000 years. Therefore, Professor Du Gangjian said that "Yunyang Mountain may be the earliest famous sacred mountain with humanistic history in the history of mankind", which can be called the "source of civilization". I agree.

Chaling is one of the origins of the world's agricultural civilization. Eight generations of Yan Emperor Juzhao Tea Tomb. Taking Chaling as its base, the Yandi Shennong clan began to plant five grains in the Huxiang area to serve the people; to make a market for the people; to taste hundreds of grasses and heal the people; to weave linen as cloth to protect the people from the cold; to cultivate utensils and store them for the people; to cut tung trees as a harp to please the people; to open the market for the benefit of the people's livelihood; to take the wood as the target, to settle the people's house. The historical transformation from fishing and hunting to field cultivation has been completed, and the transition from obscurity to civilization and from the Paleolithic era to the Neolithic era has been realized.

Chaling is one of the birthplaces of medicinal culture. The people have diseases, unknown medicinal stones, the yan emperor began to nourish the grass and trees, to detect the cold, warm and heat, to discern the righteousness of his kings and subjects, to encounter seventy-two poisons in one day, and to transform them, so he made a document to cure the people's diseases, and the medical path began from then on. So there is the book "Shennong Materia Medica". In the process of tasting hundreds of herbs to cure diseases, Yandi discovered that tea leaves can detoxify. As a result, the habit of Chinese drinking tea began with Shennong, which has been passed down from generation to generation, and Shennong has become the "tea ancestor" who discovered tea and planted tea trees. Of course, Chaling is the birthplace of tea culture. "Ten thousand years of national drink began in Chaling" has become a consensus. Chaling preserves a large number of folktales and historical relics about the Yandi Shennong clan and the red pine nuts collecting medicines and pharmaceuticals. For example, Emperor Yan took the medicine and asked Chi Songzi to refine Dan in the Zhenxian Cave (赤松岩) in the valley of the eastern foothills of Yunyang Mountain. Later, this mountain was called Akamatsu Mountain, and if there was a spring pond, it was called a washing pond, and it was also called Akamatsu Danjing. Therefore, Yunyang Mountain still has spiritual relics such as Akamatsu Immortal, Qifengtai, and Chazu Tea Mountain.

Chaling is the origin of dragon culture. The world says that Chinese is the descendant of the dragon, but they think that the dragon is a fictional animal, which is not enough to believe, but only the product of the totem of faith. But in ancient China, the theory of raising dragons and taming dragons is endless. In the "Zuo Biography" and "Historical Records", it contains the matter of "Kong Jia raising dragons". According to Professor Du Gangjian's examination, the tradition of Chinese dragon raising can be traced back to the Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor raising dragons in Chaling, and the specific location of dragon breeding is in Ganquan under Yunyang Mountain, which is called Zhangmuchong Reservoir today. Yunyang Mountain Ganquan is the only place to study for raising dragons.

Chaling is the birthplace of bird culture. The Chinese people know that "the dragon and phoenix are auspicious", and the sacred bird phoenix and the divine beast dragon are the mascots juxtaposed. The phoenix culture has its roots in the long-standing bird culture. In ancient times, the ecological environment of Chaling was excellent, picturesque, and there were many birds, and hundreds of birds could be pointed out at any time. The Yellow Emperor enfeoffed his son Shao Hao at the Yunyang Mountain of Chaling and established the State of Shao Hao. All 120 official positions of the Shaohao State are named after different birds. The "Seventeenth Year of Zuo Chuan Zhao Gong" records: "The establishment of the young bird, the phoenix bird is suitable, so the age is in the bird, and the bird name is the bird master." "The Yellow Emperor takes the cloud as the totem, and Shao Hao takes the bird as the totem. Archaeology has found that the phoenix pattern of Hunan Gaomiao 7800 years ago is the embodiment of the phoenix culture, far earlier than the phoenix pattern unearthed in other regions. This shows that the bird culture originated in the Huxiang region of Chaling Yunyang Mountain and other places. The Shaohao bird culture has also influenced the world. For example, the Egyptian script contains the Shaohao bird script, with a large number of bird graphics.

Not only that, Professor Du's research found that there are many ethnic groups in the world that originate from the Shaohao clan of Yunyang Mountain. The British Anglos, Welshmen, ancient Greek manes, the main Spanish ethnic groups, the ancestors of the Palestinians, and the Kim people of the Korean Peninsula are descendants of Chaling Shaohao. At present, there are 8 million Kim surnames in the Korean Peninsula, and 300,000 Koreans visit Zhangjiajie every year, and after enjoying the strange mountains and waters of Zhangjiajie, they should come to Chaling Yunyang Mountain to worship their ancestor Shaohao Jin Tianshi.

Chaling is one of the birthplaces of Taoist and Buddhist culture. In ancient times, the Buddhist Tao was not divided, it was all monastic culture, the Tao predates the Buddha, and Confucianism also originates from the Tao. The Yunyang clan survived and multiplied in the Chaling area 100,000 years ago and began the exploration of the Heavenly Dao. Later, Mr. Yunyang practiced in Yunyang Mountain and became a teacher of the Yellow Emperor, whose culture belonged to the Taoist culture, and Mawangdui unearthed the "Four Classics of the Yellow Emperor", which was a classic of the Huang Lao's art in the early Han Dynasty. The pre-Qinhuxiang area is mainly an area of Taoist culture. Tracing back to the roots, Chaling Yunyang Mountain is the base camp of ancient monastic culture. According to Professor Du's research, Buddha Shakyamuni is a descendant of the Shaohao clan of Chaling, the origin of Buddhist culture can be traced back to the great Xiangxi, Hunan Gaomiao 7800 years ago has been unearthed Buddhist symbol "swastika"; to the west, the Sanxingdui area was born 4000 years ago, where a large number of Buddhist cultural statues were unearthed; further west, the Buddha founded Buddhism in Nepal around 3000 years ago. After Buddhism spread back to Middle-earth, Confucianism and Taoism were combined. Yunyang Mountain has become one of the holy places of Taoism and Buddhism in the south, and it is also a sacred mountain where the three families of Confucianism and Buddhism coexist.

Chaling is also one of the origins of the world's constitutional culture. In ancient times, there were three tombs and five codes, that is, the constitutional code of the ancient period, and the Shennong Clan Political Code was one of them. The Shennong's Political Code can be called the first written constitution of mankind since ancient times, in which "only the people are born", "only the king is born", "the people are only the state" and the idea of "anti-government" to prevent the excessive expansion of government power has influenced the political and constitutional ideas of ancient and modern China and foreign countries, even including today's US Constitution. But the people are born with the people, and the people's will and the people's hearts are providence and the heavenly heart. The duty of the king of the government is to act in accordance with heaven, that is, to honor the will of the people and the will of the people. The constitutional order of heaven, the people, and the monarch cannot be reversed, otherwise the power of the government and the king will expand. Attaching importance to Chaling's "Shennong's Political Code" is conducive to promoting the organic integration of ruling the country by virtue and ruling the country according to law.

In short, many of China's source cultures were born in Chaling, including farming culture, surname culture, tea culture, Traditional Chinese medicine culture, dragon culture, bird culture, religious sacrifice culture, constitutional culture, etc. Professor Du Gangjian has done a good job of sorting out and summarizing in this book. To some extent, this is a local chronicle of the ancient period of Chaling, but the book has the height of world history and creates a unique historical narrative.

After Coming to Hunan, Professor Du Gangjian has always been keen on the research and dissemination of Huxiang culture, believing that the ancient Chinese civilization originated in Huxiang, and the ancient democratic rule of law center was in Hunan, which was committed to promoting the ancient civilization of Hunan to the world and caused a world sensation. Previously, his "The Source of Civilization and the World of Great Unity" subverted the "world history" in the eyes of Westerners, which not only attracted the attention and sensation of the academic circles, but even became the object of discussion among people in the streets. This time, he devoted his enthusiasm and painstaking writing to the "Origin of Civilization and the Ancient Tea Tomb" to go further, which is bound to once again lead the study of ancient civilization and rewrite world history. Du Gangjian, Liu Junnan, Pillow Ge and other experts and scholars believe that Hunan is the "capital of ancient civilization in the world", and Yunyang Mountain is the most important and core part of "the capital of ancient civilization in the world". I think this statement has important historical and practical significance.

The Tea Ling CPPCC has always attached great importance to the study of the history and culture of The Tea Ling, especially the ancient civilization of Yunyang Mountain. It is expected that the publication of the book "The Source of Civilization and the Ancient Tea Tomb" will lead more experts and scholars to study the history and culture of The Tea Tomb, and then push the series of research activities on the history and culture of the Yunyang Mountain of the Tea Tomb to a new height.

May the people of the world come to the Huxiang region to find their roots and ask their ancestors, come to Chaling to find their roots and ask their ancestors, and may the world be one!
