Chen Ke, 21, is a Ji shouren and a 2018 music student at the School of Arts of East China Jiaotong University. As a native of Xiangxi, Chen Ke grew up under the rich culture of Xiangxi and was deeply influenced by the traditional music and dance culture of the Miao Tujia family since childhood. Therefore, he fell in love with singing and also had musical dreams. From high school to college, Chen Ke has been studying in the field of music and trying to create, and has also produced many musical works.

Because her parents divorced, Chen Ke lived with her grandparents since she was a child. Grandma liked to listen to mountain operas, and often used a small back basket to carry Chen Ke around to listen to songs, and a seed of music was sown in his heart. In the first year of high school at the age of 13, he won the first prize in the State Three Independence Competition with a solo song "Eighteen Bends of the Yellow River under the World" and was selected for the school choir.

In order to better sing songs, Chen Ke often thinks about his musical image and cultural connotations, and gradually, he began to fall in love with lyrics creation. His first work, "Old Ferry", is based on the Chatong Ferry where Shen Congwen lived in the border city of Cuicui, and integrated into his own growth experience, which received a good response. Subsequently, based on the elements of the daily life of the Tujia family in Western Hunan Province, works such as "Yo Zha Tuo" and "Singing in Slippery Life" were selected as the annual outstanding works of the Chinese Musicians Association "Hear China Hear You".

At present, Chen Ke has created more than 200 music works, published more than 100 works in publications such as "Music Creation", "Lyric Journal", "Song" and other publications, won the annual excellent song of "Hearing China Hear You", the gold medal of "Xiaoxiang Good Song", the first prize of the first original pop song competition in Zhejiang Province, etc., and held a personal original work report concert at Jishou University in May 2019.

In recent years, at key moments such as the new crown epidemic and rural revitalization, Chen Ke, as a "child of the mountains", has used music as a medium to carry out public welfare undertakings, serve the society, and radiate the vigorous and upward youth force. When he saw the "retrograde" who confronted the virus during the anti-epidemic period, a kiss in the window, a hug at the train station... One touching scene after another, he was moved countless times, and created more than ten war songs.

Chen Ke's creation has not been smooth sailing. There is no professional recording equipment at home, and he can only use his mobile phone to record and then mix and shrink later. In the later stage, the funds were tight, and he and a group of like-minded music lovers, who had money to pay, who had expertise, and worked together with one heart, and in a very short period of time, he created "It's Good to Have You", "Baby, Wait for Me to Go Home" and other songs to praise the frontline epidemic fighters, and sent them care and blessings with the power of music.

This year, Chen Ke's original lyrics for the centenary of the founding of the Party, "I Have Something to Say to You in My Heart", was selected as one of the 100 excellent lyrics in the country sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and the Chinese Music Association.
