Many people now regard Zhuge Liang as the embodiment of wisdom, believing that he is rich in knowledge and outstanding ability, helping Liu Bei fight the world and assisting Liu Chan in sitting in the world. However, he did not fulfill his promise in his lifetime, helping Liu Bei unify the Central Plains and restore the Han Dynasty.
Even so, people in ancient and modern times praised him a lot, and when they mentioned him, they would talk about him. So why do you respect Zhuge Liang? There are three reasons for this.
1. Loyalty
Zhuge Liang's loyalty is highly valued by everyone. Liu Beisan asked Zhuge Liang to come out, which showed Liu Bei's sincerity. Zhuge Liang was touched by Liu Bei's actions, so there was a Longzhong pair, which was also a long-term plan and goal for Liu Bei.
After listening to Zhuge Liang's analysis, Liu Bei was overjoyed, and from then on, with the help of Zhuge Liang, he gradually increased his strength and ability to compete with Cao Cao, and finally established Shu Han.
Before the establishment of the Shu Han Dynasty, Zhuge Liang gave advice to Liu Bei, dispatched troops, commanded battles, and established many meritorious achievements. Soon after the establishment of the Shu Han Dynasty, Liu Bei died of illness, and Zhuge Liang went all out to assist Liu Chan, never having two hearts.
Therefore, we can know that Zhuge Liang is loyal to both The Liu Clan and even more loyal to his cause, and since he has become the backbone of the Liu Clan, he must do what he should do, and cannot be half-hearted.
During the Battle of Yiling, Liu Bei did not listen to Zhuge Liang's words, and finally lost the battle, Zhuge Liang did not surrender to the State of Wu or the State of Wei, but was entrusted with isolation, which shows that Zhuge Liang's loyalty was very high in ancient times.
2. Keep your word
Since Zhuge Liang agreed to go out of the mountain and follow Liu Bei to fight the world, he must keep his promise to Longzhong. Zhuge Liang promised to help Liu Bei gain the world, and later promised to assist Liu Chan in the White Emperor City, and we saw that Zhuge Liang was doing his best to keep his promise.
When Zhuge Liang was in Wollongong, he knew that he could only help Liu Bei gain one-third of the world, but Liu Bei wanted to restore the Han Room, and although Zhuge Liang knew that it was difficult to accomplish this goal, or even a goal that could hardly be achieved, he did it anyway.
Zhuge Liang's sixth departure from Qishan proved that he kept his promise to Liu Bei, and later, during his serious illness, he also arranged the future affairs of the Shu kingdom and designated his successor, which can be said to be bowed down to the fullest, and his integrity is worthy of respect and emulation by future generations.
3. Talented
Zhuge Liang's talents are well known to everyone, he is not only a military man, but also a politician, a writer and an inventor. His talent is outstanding, not to mention that in the Three Kingdoms period, that is, in today's society, there are only a few talented people like him. Therefore, Zhuge Liang's talent is the envy of people in later generations.
From the above three points, we know that Zhuge Liang is a person with both moral integrity and ability. He promised Liu Bei something, he would try his best to do it, even if he knew that he could not succeed, he would also do it, which was his valuable point.
After Zhuge Liang, there were no more ministers like him in successive dynasties, so everyone missed him very much, so it was only natural that later generations would respect him.
