Synopsis
One night in 2012, an orphanage, Atsuya (Ryosuke Yamada), Shota (Hiroshi Murakami), and Yukihira (Hiroshihiro Murakami), robbed a female entrepreneur, and fled to a long-closed grocery store as the car broke down unexpectedly. The shop, called The Nanaya Grocery Store, was previously run by the funny and kind old man Yuji Nanaya (Toshiyuki Nishida), who had been joking decades ago to help children solve their troubles, and then became so famous that someone came to him to consult him about life's problems. The shop, which was supposed to be silent since 1980, received a letter of inquiry after the three of them broke in. Later, Dunya and others discovered that the letters were from a distant past. On a mysterious night, lost youth writes to solve the problems of others, and their fate is closely linked to this relief grocery store...
The film is based on the original work of the same name by popular Japanese mystery writer Keigo Higashino.
