"Nanaya Relief Grocery Store" is a Japanese fantasy and warm film directed by Ryuichi Hiroki, starring Ryosuke Yamada, and co-starring Toshiyuki Nishida, Makoto Ozo, and Hiroro Murakami.
Based on the novel "Relief Grocery Store" by Japanese mystery novelist Keigo Higashino, the film tells the story of people who write down their troubles and throw themselves into the roller shutter door in front of the grocery store, and then get answers in the milk carton behind the store the next day.
One night in 2012, Atsuya (Ryosuke Yamada), Shota (Hiroshi Murakami), and Yukihira (Koichiro Murakami) robbed a female entrepreneur since childhood, and when their car broke down unexpectedly, they fled to a long-closed grocery store.
The shop, called The Nanaya Grocery Store, previously run by the funny and kind old man Yuji Nanaya (Toshiyuki Nishida), who, decades ago, helped children solve their problems out of jokes, and then became so famous that someone came to him to consult him about life's problems.
The shop, which was supposed to be silent since 1980, received a letter of inquiry after the three of them broke in. Later, Dunya and others found that the letter actually came from a distant past, a letter sent to the relief grocery store 32 years ago in the hope of solving problems, and this mailbox linked the present of 2012 to 1980.
Mysterious night, the lost youth wrote to solve the problems of others, Dun, who has never lived a serious life, was also exposed to the troubles of different people and serious replies, the mood changed, and fate and this relief grocery store were closely linked...
The film is strung together by three seemingly independent but interconnected stories, showing the brutal opposition between dream and reality.
The heirs of the fish shop pursue their musical dreams
A single mother who despite fatigue to save her daughter
Female college students who desperately want to make money to repay their adoptive parents who live in poverty
They have all asked the grocery store for help when they are most confused, and the grocery store is also trying to solve their problems for them.
Maybe that's the point of the grocery store! There is no such thing as the best choice in the world, and it is worth it to know your heart and go down with gratitude and courage.
If the relief grocery store really exists, if time and space can really meet, I also want to be a beacon for someone when he is in the dark, and take him out of the darkness and towards the light of the future! Or when I'm in the dark, I also want someone who can take me out of this darkness and into the light like a relief grocery store!
