As a presentation of national culture, the vocal singing part of the work is loved by music lovers all over the world, and has also become a model for foreigners singing Chinese vocal works in symphony concerts. 1. The mountain song of the symphonic poem "Echo of the Tulou" is sung

In the past, the Hakka people could only develop in Nanyang, and the second movement of "Tulou Echo" "Boat on the Sea" (Allegro-Sanban) depicts the heroic image and thrilling scene of the Hakka people riding a flat boat in a monstrous wave. From time to time, the call of the "Hakka trumpet" can also be heard in the work.

An old Hakka man in Taiwan recounted: "Our ancestors told us that there is a black water ditch between the mainland and Taiwan, and our people are six dead, three lives and one turn. "It is a very tragic history of migration, and the Hakka people have to fight with other unknowable difficulties and obstacles in addition to fighting with nature. Therefore, the climax of the music at the end is like a round of rising sun, and the other side of the fascination is in front of you. In the distance came a bamboo board song "Over the Tune", as if the wife and children of the hometown were instructed and attached to the wanderers in the distance.

This song was originally sung by the eighty-year-old li Tiansheng, who sang this mountain song for Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou in the 1950s: "Facing the wind and waves, wading through the ocean, blood and sweat make Hakka Lang, life and death are all based on true courage, a mountain song touches the stomach." Hakka mountain songs are mostly love songs, and women no longer sing them after marriage, so Hakka mountain songs are basically sung by men.

Music cannot be fully interpreted in words or pictures, and the purpose of appreciating music is to evoke the resonance of the inner sound and mobilize the imagination of the mind. In the view of teacher Zheng Xiaoying, the image of the work of "Tulou Echo" is not to accompany the picture with music, but to match the picture with the music. The picture needs to obey the structure of the music, follow the rhythm and tone of the music to complete the conversion, as far as possible to bring the visual impression to the viewer, so as to achieve the role of symphony popularization and better understand the music.

2. The popular chorus of the symphonic poem "Echoes of the Tulou"

The fifth movement, "Hakka Song" (march), is a calm and determined three-beat march. The composer had a special treatment for this movement, requiring the performance of the local folk choir to sing the "Hakka Song" to convey the voice of the Hakka people. It is majestic and stoic, showing the magnificent spirit of the Hakka people to unite and work hard and be willing to make friends with the world.

Music from far to near, leading us to imagine the Hakka people from ancient times to today, their pace is stable, persistent, always holding a spirit of courage to move forward, do not give up, do not stay. From weak to strong, from far to near, we heard a distant male chorus: "You have the heart to come to me, I am not afraid of the mountains and the water is deep, the mountain is high and there are people who open the way, and there are bridge builders in the depth of the water." The band then joins in with the mixed chorus, culminating in the band, where the musicians put down their instruments and sing along with the choir.

All along, we sang Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" in substandard German, and now "Tulou Echo" has gone to the world and received a warm welcome, and finally there are Chinese symphonic chorus works that can be sung by foreigners in our language, or our dialect, which is both interesting and proud. We, the Chinese nation, we Hakka, hope to make friends with the world through music.

Biographies of the keynote speakers Zheng Xiaoying, born in 1929, is a famous conductor, music educator and social activist, former chief conductor and lifelong honorary conductor of the Central Opera House, former professor and director of the Conducting Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, the first female conductor of opera-symphony in New China, and the first Chinese to appear on the podium of foreign opera houses. Conductor Zheng Xiaoying was the musical director of China's first volunteer orchestra,"Philharmonic Girl" chamber orchestra; she was the artistic director of the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra for 15 years. She has successfully conducted performances in more than 20 countries; she has been awarded the French Medal of Honor for Literature and Arts and two Medals of Honor for Friendship between Russia and China; and she has been invited by the World Choral Council to serve as a permanent member of the Presidium of the Honorary Arts of the World Choral Competition. She has won the Special Contribution Award for Chinese Opera, the Wenhua Conducting Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Golden Bell Award of the China Federation of Literary and Performing Arts and the Chinese Music Association.
