Quanzhou, July 1 (China News Network) -- Zheng Xiaoying, the first female conductor of opera symphony in New China, performed the "Tribute to the Most Beautiful Retrograde in the City" public welfare symphony concert at the Quanzhou Grand Theater in Fujian Province on the evening of June 30, paying tribute to the workers who rushed to the frontline of epidemic prevention and control. The concert of the evening was performed by the Xiamen Song and Dance Theatre Symphony Orchestra, and the 91-year-old Zheng Xiaoying held the baton in her hand.

Zheng Xiaoying was the chief conductor of the Central Opera House, the director of the conducting department of the Central Conservatory of Music, and the artistic director of the Zheng Xiaoying Opera Art Center. Zheng Xiaoying introduced that this concert selected cheerful songs such as "Festival Overture" to pay tribute to the "most beautiful retrograde in the city" such as medical staff, police, and security. This year coincides with the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, so we also selected the overture of Beethoven's work "Egmont" to share with you.

In addition, the opera "La Traviata", "William Retreat", "Ruslan and Lyudmila" and other overtures were staged in turn, and finally "Ode to the Red Flag" was finalized to present the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
