At about 10:00 a.m. on September 4, in Yuping Village, Lewu Township, Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, an adult wild giant panda walked out of the mountain forest and came to the farmer's field as a guest, attracting many villagers to watch.
This panda is not afraid of life, it sometimes breaks a corn, sometimes rummaging through the straw pile. In addition, it also "interacts intimately" with the villagers, posing in various shapes to attract people to shoot.
"At first, a few babies in the village were playing outside, and when they saw a giant panda coming from the bud valley of The Red Family of Siduda, they went home and told the adults, and the adults informed the township again." Nerier Bu, secretary of the party committee of Lewu Township, said that after they learned about the situation, they promptly notified the relevant departments.
On the morning of September 5, experts from Chengdu examined the physical condition of the giant panda and found that it was an elderly giant panda. "This panda has severe teeth wear, blindness in the left eye, severe visual limitation in the right eye, and rough estimates are at least 18 years old, which is already an advanced age in the wild conditions, and the situation of geriatric disease is also more obvious." Experts said they gave the pandas physical examinations and on-site first aid, and the basic vital signs of the pandas were maintained. Due to the limited conditions of examination and treatment on site, after consultation, they decided to send the giant panda to a professional rescue center for further examination and monitoring.
