In this regard, on June 30, the familymart official confirmed the news to the Beijing News reporter, and said that it is carefully considering the successor candidate, and the current CEO is temporarily replaced by Wei Yingxing, chairman of The FamilyMart.

According to public information, Lin Jianhong joined the family in November 2015 as the company's CEO, responsible for Chinese mainland market. Lin Jianhong's most recent public appearance was in February this year, in a New Year's eve video organized by the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, and talked about how the whole family will further learn and grow on the road of digital transformation.

Regarding the reason for Lin Jianhong's departure, FamilyMart told the Beijing News reporter that Lin Jianhong made a decision to leave based on personal reasons.
