Beijing News (reporter Ouyang Xiaojuan) Recently, there is news that Lin Jianhong, ceo of Chinese mainland FamilyMart, will leave his post this week. In this regard, on June 30, the familymart official confirmed the news to the Beijing News reporter, and said that it is carefully considering the successor candidate, and the current CEO is temporarily replaced by Wei Yingxing, chairman of The FamilyMart.

According to public information, Lin Jianhong joined the family in November 2015 as the company's CEO, responsible for Chinese mainland market. Lin Jianhong's most recent public appearance was in February this year, in a New Year's eve video organized by the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, and talked about how the whole family will further learn and grow on the road of digital transformation.

Regarding the reason for Lin Jianhong's departure, FamilyMart told the Beijing News reporter that Lin Jianhong made a decision to leave based on personal reasons. It is worth noting that before, second only to Lin Jianhong, zhu Hongtao, the "second person" and general manager of the Chinese mainland family, left the family and joined the fresh life as the president.

However, regarding the reason for Lin Jianhong's departure, some sources have analyzed that it may be related to the increasingly fierce competition in the domestic convenience store market. The Beijing News reporter noted that the number of stores in the Chinese mainland of the whole family has always ranked first in the Japanese system, but this year broke the law for the first time. According to the list of china's top 100 convenience stores in 2021 released by the China Chain Store and Franchise Association, in 2020, lawson (3256) stores that are also Japanese convenience stores exceeded FamilyMart (2967) for the first time, opening a gap of nearly 300 in the number.
