On November 2, the unveiling ceremony of the statue of mr. Qi Xia, a famous Marxist historian and educator, the launch of the new book "The Biography of Mr. Qi Xia" and the 20th anniversary memorial meeting of Mr. Qi Xia were held at Hebei University.
At the scene of the event, more than 200 people, including representatives from the national historical circles and Mr. Qi Xia's relatives, disciples, and friends before his death, participated in the unveiling ceremony through a combination of the scene and the online platform.
Mr. Lacquer Has been working in the field of history for more than 50 years, and his achievements are extraordinary. He has made pioneering research in the fields of ancient Chinese history, Song Liao, Xia jin history, Chinese peasant war history, Song Dynasty economic history, and Song Dynasty academic and ideological history, and has made world-renowned achievements, which have been widely praised and respected by academic circles at home and abroad. He has published academic monographs such as "Peasant Uprising at the End of Sui Dynasty", "Tang Taizong", "Wang Anshi's Transformation Law", "History of Peasant Wars in Qin and Han", "Political and Economic Issues of the Two Song Dynasties" (co-authored), "Economic History of the Song Dynasty" and other academic monographs, and published more than 150 academic papers at home and abroad. Among them, "Wang Anshi's Transformation Law" is a far-reaching work, and the magnificent work "Economic History of the Song Dynasty" has been praised by historians as "a landmark work" in the study of Chinese economic history and Song history.
Mr. Qi Xia is the first doctoral supervisor in Hebei Province, and in January 1984, the discipline of ancient Chinese history led by him was approved as the first doctoral degree authorization point in Hebei Province, and the first doctoral student in Hebei Province was trained. The Song History Research Center of Hebei University, which he founded, became the first "Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences in Provincial Colleges and Universities affiliated to the Ministry of Education" in Hebei Province, establishing an important academic institution and exchange platform for the historiography of Hebei, and was praised by the academic circles as "the first important town in Song history research".
Mr. Qi Xia is a recognized famous teacher of Hebei University, and has successively served as the director of the Song History Research Office of Hebei University, the director of the Institute of Social Sciences, the director of the Institute of History, the honorary director of the Song History Research Center, the editor-in-chief of Hebei University Press, an outstanding expert in provincial management, a senior professor of liberal arts at Hebei University, a vice chairman of the Hebei Provincial Democratic League, a member of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a vice chairman of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, and has successively served as the chairman of the Chinese Peasant War History Society, the president of the Chinese Song History Research Association, and the president of the Hebei Provincial Historical Society. He won the "May Day" Labor Medal and the title of National Outstanding Educator of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the first prize of the "National Humanities and Social Science Research Outstanding Achievement Award of Colleges and Universities" of the State Education Commission, and the special prize of the National Excellent Teaching Achievement Award.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Mr. Qi Xia, for which Hebei University has held a series of commemorative activities, not only to learn the scientific spirit and outstanding contributions of Mr. Qi Xia in governing history and teaching with Marxism, but also to encourage colleagues in the academic circles to take Mr. Qi Xia as an example, be loyal to the party's educational cause, work hard, establish lofty ideals, bravely shoulder the heavy responsibilities of the times, and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
