30 yuan to pick up the leak value of the city-class cultural relics famous painting Chen Lu "Plum Blossom Picture Scroll"

30 yuan to buy a national first-class cultural relics of the Ming Dynasty ancient painting! Today, the Guangdong Provincial Museum launched the "Gentleman's Wind - Traditional Meilan Bamboo Chrysanthemum Painting Exhibition", in which the collection process of a 9-meter-long "Pushing Tent Spring Intention" is legendary.

The collecting process is legendary

The exhibition selects more than 80 masterpieces of famous artists from the Yuan Dynasty to the Republic of China from the collection of calligraphy and paintings in the collection of calligraphy and paintings in the collection of guangdong provincial museums, showing the interpretation of the "four gentlemen" by painters of different eras. It will be on display until March 15 next year. With so many beautiful paintings, which ones are the most worth seeing? "Pushing the Canopy Spring Intention" definitely ranks first, not only because it is the longest painting in this exhibition (more than 9 meters long, if you add the pre-order and the back trek can be 15 meters), but also because of its legendary story.

In 1973, the China Export Commodities Fair was held in Guangzhou. Su Gengchun, a well-known expert in the appraisal of cultural relics, routinely appraises the exported ancient calligraphy and paintings. According to the policy at that time, some handicraft companies could export old calligraphy and paintings that could not be collected in museums and art galleries in exchange for foreign exchange for the country. This kind of calligraphy and painting is generally counterfeit, or even if it is genuine, but most of them are not of high level and belong to foreign products.

Su Gengchun became interested in a "Plum Blossom Picture Scroll" sent from Tianjin with the signature "Chen Lu". With his years of experience, he concluded that the plum blossom scroll, which was in perfect condition and huge in size, and was designated as an imitation by the local cultural relics appraisal department, was most likely a big fish that slipped through the net. Therefore, he bought it for the Guangdong Provincial Museum for 30 yuan and brought it back to the museum for further in-depth study.

There is Lin Zexu inscription

Chen Lu was a famous painter in the early Ming Dynasty, who was good at painting, among which plum, pine, bamboo and orchid were particularly famous, especially Mo Mei's attainments were the most exquisite, and Wang Qian was the same. There are not many of his heirloom works. Su Gengchun further compared this painting with other established Chen Lu works, and found that it was an authentic artifact. The painting has the appraisal chapters of Xu Shichang and Zhou You at the beginning, the inscription of The Emperor Cheng Nanyun "Tui Peng Chunyi", and the inscription of the Ming and Qing Dynasty connoisseurs at the end, namely Liu Changqin and Zhang Tai of the Ming Dynasty, and Chen Hongshou, Xu Shu, Lu Changzuo, Yao Yuanzhi, Yang Dianbang, Xia Kun, Lin Zexu and others of the Qing Dynasty, which are also authentic works, which further confirm Mr. Su's judgment.

Later, after the experts of the Ancient Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Appraisal Group came to appraise, they also believed that it was Chen Lu's fine product and was designated as a first-class cultural relic. In the 1980s, the Cultural Relics Publishing House also published a one-line album for this painting, which was widely circulated.
