Watching everyone recommend American dramas, they often mention Eva Green's "Holy City", but I have the impression that Eva Green makes movies very well, what will happen to acting in TV series?
So today I downloaded an episode of "Holy City" and was addicted to watching it, although at first it was not as simple and straightforward as "Spartacus". But Eva Green's appearance did add a lot to the show.
Eva Green starred in the play as Morgana, the daughter of King Eusé, thinking of inheriting her father's power, but her father never liked her.
Especially when her mother died, King Euthé actually married another young queen, which made Morgana furious. Morgana was sent to the monastery by her father to study, but she only learned evil witchcraft.
One day, after a quarrel between Morgana and her father, King Euser, Morgana brutally poisoned her father and wanted to become a queen.
But her wishful thinking was wrong, because King Usa had already prepared the backhand. King Usa had already had a son, and had long ago been sent to the countryside by his Grand Mage Merlin to be raised by a farm couple.
On the occasion of King Usa's death, Merlin appears and asks King Uther to sign a document acknowledging his son as his sole heir to the throne.
But when Merlin found King Usa's son, Arthur, he didn't want the throne. It was only under the persuasion of his adoptive parents and brother that he took his brother (the son of his adoptive parents) and Merlin to prepare to inherit the throne.
Merlin did not take Arthur back to the former city-state, which was occupied by Morgana and had to be beaten passively. Merlin chose a once glorious castle, but now deserted. Merlin summoned the dead men who had sworn allegiance to King Euther to the castle, intending to revive the kingdom around it.
But Morgana obviously did not want to give him this opportunity, she colluded with the king of another country, wanted to unify the whole country, and wanted to become a noble queen.
So Morgana, when Arthur was not on his feet, rushed to blackmail Arthur into leaving, or else she would go on a killing spree. But Arthur clearly had no intention of leaving.
Tragedy ensued, and the king of another country, in which Morgana had colluded, had captured Arthur's adoptive mother and brutally killed him in front of him.
The plot was immediately ignited, and the originally somewhat dull plot suddenly became exciting. What would Arthur do? How will he and his brother avenge their mother?
This design is very much in line with starz's editing method, just like "Spartacus", one thing has ended, but where it can be affected next, we need to see the second episode.
But I heard that the show didn't have a final ending because there was only the first season, and for some reason, the next second season wasn't filmed. Could it be that Eva Green's film remuneration is too high? Hey hey, anyway, watching the first episode works very well.
