Mr. Ma Sulun was well-educated, proficient in poetry and song, and was quite accomplished in calligraphy, and was good at the time. He vigorously advocated joining the WTO, but never abandoned his studies because of eunuchs, and wrote a lot of works in his lifetime, such as "Lao Tzu's School Recitation", "Liezi Pseudo-Book Examination", "Shuowen Xiezi Six Books Neglect evidence", "Shiguwen Study" and so on. In addition, Mr. Ma Sulun also donated 359 pieces of ceramic cultural relics in his personal collection to the Palace Museum.
