Ma Sulun made three wills in his lifetime, one of which was regarded as a valuable political will by his colleagues in the Democratic Progressive Party in 1958. At the seminar, Wu Yizhou, vice president of the Ma Sulun Research Association and director of the Editing and Publishing Department of the Hangzhou Library, gave a new interpretation of this famous political will.

He believes that Ma Sulun can still naturally write words with a strong political nature when his health is deteriorating and he is lying on a sickbed, because political consciousness has become his life consciousness, and the idea of "following the Communist Party" has been integrated into his life consciousness.

"We can think of this sentence as Ma Sulun's teaching to his descendants, and we can also understand it as a kind of political advice to all people, not limited to the people." Wu Yizhou said.

"Of the 44 members of the DPP during the founding period, 21 were members of the CCP, and the history of the establishment and progress of the DPP and the friendship and cooperation between Ma Lao and the Communists explain the superiority of the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC."
