The Harrison family, from a man named Benjamin Harrison who moved from England to the North American colonies in 1630.
By the time of Harrison IV, he had become a colonel by military merit and had successfully entered high society. He married the eldest daughter of Virginia's richest man and gave birth to Harrison V.

Because of his family background, Harrison V grew up and successfully entered the Virginia Assembly and participated in the Continental Congress. During his participation in the Continental Congress, he shared a house with George Washington. He was one of the founding fathers of the United States who signed the United States Declaration of Independence.
On 1 July 1776, Harrison V was elected as a delegate to read the Declaration of Independence. He then returned to his hometown and entered the Virginia House of Representatives, where he served as Governor of Virginia from 1781 to 1784.
William Harrison was the youngest son of Harrison V, and from an aristocratic family, he joined the army as an adjutant general after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania.
