After Huang's pulse diagnosis, he said: "The dragon body phoenix pulse is an incurable disease." The Qianlong Emperor was relieved to ask the Huang clan to treat his illness. After eating Huang Yuanyu's medicine, Qianlong's illness was better. Qianlong then gave Huang Yuanyu a chess set made of jade and a chess board made of catalpa wood, and wrote a plaque for Huang Yuanyu with the words "Miao Wu Qi Huang".
