"Growing Edge", as one of the few good-looking American youth films in recent years, tells the story of the heroine Nadine's sudden changes in high school and the inability to adapt to growing up. There are no stories of dog blood such as pregnancy and abortion, which are plain but deeply touching.
In the film, the Asian boy Elvin, who plays the heroine Nadine, is named Hayden Situ, and in the play, He plays Elvin, who has a wide range of interests, knowledge, family affluence, loves to draw, and really frightens Nadine when he invites Nadine to his home.
In fact, in real life, Hayden Situ is indeed from a real family of calligraphers and painters. Great-grandfather Situ Ming (号東皋) was a famous poet of the Qing Dynasty in the first year of Xuantong (1909 AD). Grandfather Situ Qi is a representative of the modern Lingnan School of painting and a famous master of Chinese painting.
