Zhengke Jia Lane in Chunxi Road was once a place where students gathered, and The Wing King Shi Dakai died here

Silkworms walking on mulberry leaves, Xiaobian traveling on the earth, hi, hello everyone, we meet again!

I believe that many tourists who come to Chengdu have been to Chunxi Road.

Chunxi Road has become a popular punch card place in Chengdu, some tourists have said: Chengdu's Chunxi Road is like Beijing's Wangfujing, Shanghai's Nanjing Road, Chongqing's Chaotianmen, you just need to say the name of the place behind, you know where you have been, has become synonymous with the provincial capital city.

Chunxi Road is lively, Chunxi Road is full of beautiful women, and Chunxi Road is full of food.

Yes, this is the consensus of tourists who have visited Chunxi Road, and the pride of Chengdu people.

In the laneway of Chunxi Road, there is a "Zhengjiake Alley", and not many tourists know it.

This is an alley with a story, I also found it inadvertently, I want to recommend it to everyone, I hope that friends and friends will have one more point to watch when playing Chunxi Road, and also to understand the stories that have happened here.

On May 27, I went to Chunxi Road to run errands, took bus No. 58 and got off at Zongfu Road, and after crossing the overpass, I unconsciously walked into this alley to Chunxi Road - Zhengjiake Road.

I don't know what is being built on the other side, I guess it is either a shop or an office building, and there should be no residential building here.

Look at the old fence should have been fenced around for some days. Streets are distinctive, with corrugated iron plates covering the pavement, which can improve the load-bearing capacity of large trucks.

The sign markings read "Zhengjiake Road".

The name caught my attention. Why is it such a place name? What is the meaning here?

Walking down the alley, you can reach the commercial core area of Chunxi Road.

Less than 20 meters ahead, there is a passage that leads to another road.

There are stone monuments erected at the intersection, and the story begins here.

Origin of Koga Lane

Chengdu Chunxi Road Kejia Lane includes Zhengke Jia Lane (the alley we walked), Dake Jia Lane (east of Chunxi Road) and Xiao Ke Jia Lane (now long gone, leaving only its name).

Kejia Lane got its name from the fifty-first year of Qianlong (1786), derived from the imperial examination "Dengke Zhongjia".

In the Ming and Qing dynasties, students from all counties went to the provincial city to take the exam, and they would stay at the inn here. Why are they all staying here?

Because in 1879, the descendants of Zhu Xi (the most famous philosopher, thinker, and educator in the late feudal society of China) built a ancestral shrine here under the name of Zhu Zuwen, and students came here to worship the sages in order to gain fame.

After the Xinhai Revolution, the imperial examination system was abolished, but the street name is still used today.

In the preserved "Du Sell Wenqi" there is a record of Kejia Lane.

Shi Dakai was killed

At the intersection of the street, a stone stele of White Jade stands quietly there, on which is engraved Shi Dakai's "Entering the River Inscription Wall": The Great Thief also has a Way, and the poetry book disdains it. Gold is like dung, and the liver and gallbladder are as hard as iron. Zema crossed the cliff, bent the bow to shoot The Moon.

Shi Dakai, the Wing King of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, immediately pulled me back into the textbookS I had read.

And the story here is even more poignant.

In the eighth year of Qing Xianfeng, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom underwent the "Tianjing Revolution", and Shi Dakai, the wing king who assisted the Heavenly King Hong Xiuquan with repeated achievements in 3 battles, led a 100,000-strong army to march west to Sichuan, and was besieged by the Qing army by the Asbestos Dadu River, and the situation was critical.

In order to ensure the safety of the whole army, Shi Dakai personally led his younger son to the Qing camp to negotiate peace, and as a result, the father and son were detained by the Qing army and escorted to the provincial city, where they were imprisoned in the Yamen in Kejia Lane.

Originally, it was to be escorted back to the capital, but the Qing court was afraid of changes in the escort and ordered "the law to be rectified on the spot." Fearing that someone would rob the court and not dare to carry out the execution in public, he secretly killed Shi Dakai's father and son in the prison in Kejia Lane on a dark night.

This has been said in Mr. Li Haoren's works such as "Before the Storm" and "Backwater Breeze", which should not be a fabrication.

Defeated by the Dadu River, died in Kejia Lane, a generation of heroes Haojie went away like a meteor, which made people sigh.

There are still some old-fashioned buildings in the alley, although they have been repaired, but the architectural style has not changed much.

Green bricks, gray tiles This is a symbol of the times.

Integrated into the bustling streets of Chunxi Road, it is no longer lonely. The iron gate hangs the sign of "Chengdu YMCA" and is also the cultural and artistic training center of the YMCA.

Further in, there is a building hole, and through the building hole is another alley on Chunxi Road.

This 100-meter alley was a shop specializing in children's toys decades ago, when Kejia Lane was jokingly called "Toy Street".

Later, it became a lively place to sell fashion, and for a long time it led the latest fashion trend in Chengdu and showed its taste with "This is bought in Kejia Lane".

For decades, the bustle and prosperity of Kejia Lane have increased unabated. Due to its special location, the rent of the shops here is very expensive, and it is also very picky for the occupants, forming a business circle specializing in high-end brands.

Today's Kejia Lane, history and reality coexist. Walking in this alley, there is a lament for history and a yearning for a better life.

If you come to Chunxi Road, you may wish to walk into ZhengkeJia Lane, walk into this historical dusty alley, there will be another harvest.
