Today is chongyang festival. Yesterday, the home of Shen Li, a villager in Luojia Village, Anting Town, Jiading District, was particularly lively. It turned out that Aunt Shen was happily making Chongyang cakes with several little sisters in the village.

In the Jiangnan area, the Chongyang Festival has the custom of eating Chongyang cake. In the courtyard of Shen Li's house, a large steamer was in the center, steaming out. Shen Li and her sisters laughed while methodically stirring, ingredients, steaming and cooking... As their hands continued to flip up and down, side to side, a cage of chongyang cakes with a seductive fragrance filled the table. After many people came to watch and taste, they praised the delicious cakes made by Aunt Shen and others.

Shen Li, 73 years old this year, is a cheerful optimist. She has a very good relationship with the sisters in the village, taking care of each other and helping each other. Aunt Shen is warm to people, especially the rice dumplings she wraps and the cakes she makes, which are structured and taste good. Every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, Aunt Shen is busy making rice dumplings for many people's families voluntarily, and never charges a single hardship fee. On the Chongyang Festival, Shen Li also made Chongyang cakes with her little sisters.

This year's Chongyang Festival, aunt Shen and the little sisters made cakes, in addition to eating themselves, the rest are distributed to relatives and friends. "Everyone gets together to celebrate, to be hilarious and happy." Aunt Shen said.
