The National Bureau of Statistics announced the changes in the sales prices of commercial residential buildings in 70 large and medium-sized cities in September 2021.

According to the data, the price of new houses in Wuhan in September 2021 was flat compared with the previous month (up 0.4% in August), up 6.0% year-on-year (up 6.4% in August), and up 7.5% compared with 2020 (up 7.4% in August).
In September 2021, the price of second-hand houses in Wuhan fell by 0.2% from the previous month (flat in August), up 2.8% from the same month last year (up 3.3% in August), and up 3.5% from 2020 (up 3.8% in August).
Since May 2020, the price of new houses in Wuhan has risen for 16 consecutive months, and September is the first time that it has not risen.
The price increase of second-hand houses in Wuhan is significantly lower than that of new houses, after seven consecutive months of rise, it stopped rising for the first time in August and fell in September, the first decline since December 2020.
