On August 1, 2018, the Red Boat Team of Guangdong Ocean University conducted field research activities in Huanghuagang Park, Guangzhou. In Huanghuagang Park, we visited the plants in the park, learned the stories of the martyrs of the Huanghuagang Uprising and the design concept of the Huanghuagang architectural complex through the explanatory video, and remembered the revolutionary martyrs.

Huanghuagang Park is an ornamental and educational attraction, and as soon as you enter the park, you will be greeted by a piece of Juniper Berlin. Looking at the dignified Juniper Berlin, i felt a sense of solemnity in my heart. To the right of the main tomb is a plant area with many local characteristic plants in Guangzhou. Under the shade of plants, there is a Huanghuagang lecture room, which contains videos introducing the story of the Huanghuagang martyrs and the Huanghuagang architectural complex.

After watching the video in the lecture room, we returned to the main cemetery, bowed our heads and slowly walked across the bridge over the pool of silence, all the way to the front of the main cemetery, where we remembered the martyrs.

Then, we moved to the cemetery of Deng Zhongyuan and other revolutionary martyrs to learn about their stories through the inscriptions on the tombstones.

In addition to this, we learn about the scene of the day of the uprising in front of the relief wall carved with seventy-two martyrs. In the era of war and chaos, they exhausted their talents and even their lives, only to change the situation of internal and external troubles at that time and create a peaceful new China.

In the special festival of the Founding Day, in addition to us, there are also citizens of different ages who come to commemorate the martyrs. We know that because of their hard work, we have a stable and happy life now.
