Kumarosh once said, "Everything that has a dharma, like a dream bubble, like dew and like electricity, should be viewed as such." "In the red dust of the world, some people become poets, some people become crazy, some people choose to have fun in time, some people escape into the empty door, and the four are empty. Everything in the world is not different, people's pursuits are different, they have different, and a big dream is illusory.
Kumarosh, a legendary and mysterious name, a name that people have silently recited a thousand times in their hearts. It is said that Kumarosh was a monk throughout the ages, leaving countless legends for future generations.
It is also said that Kumarosh was the closest monk to the Red Dust, who broke the ordination twice, but was still praised by later generations as a monk through the ages... What kind of existence is this enlightened monk who is always in the fog?
Kumarosh, a famous monk of the Qin Dynasty after the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, is also one of the four famous translators in Chinese history, along with the True Truth, Xuanzang, and Bukong. Everyone in the world says: In all misfortunes, some people choose to take refuge in Buddhism and live in peace.
It seems that the life of Kumarosh was bumpy and tortuous, and everyone sighed. Coming from a wealthy family, the young Kumarosh should have had a happy childhood. Kumarosh's father was a guoshi of Tianzhu named Kumaroyan, who was not a Han Chinese, but a thousand years ago.
The status of the guoshi was below one person and above ten thousand people, and the scenery of Kumaroyan in that year was infinite, and Kumarosh also gained many benefits. According to the original life trajectory, Kumarosh can accept the blessing of the family and realize his own value.
No one thought that, tired of official life, Hatsumaro yan resigned from the world, and in the midst of thousands of landscapes, he found his favorite white rose: Kumarosh's mother. Surprise at first sight, goodbye to love, almost instantly, Kumoroyan was deeply attracted to this girl.
The Kumaroyan who once regarded devout Buddhism as his life resolutely decided to return to the world, married the white moonlight in his heart, and told the beautiful vow of love at first sight.
In people's eyes, Kumo luoyan met love is predestined, the girl has never touched the Tianzhu language, but it seems that in an instant there is no teacher, the world praises her for having aura, and only she can match this willing and vulgar guoshi.
The two were very affectionate after they were married, and soon after, Kumarosh was born. The young Kumarosh is very intelligent and can always be surprised, this family is too happy, it is like a bubble, beautiful but fragile.
When Kumarosh was 7 years old, he collided with the pain without warning. The mother inadvertently saw a grave, and she repented, resolutely retreating into the empty door, abandoning all regrets, hoping to atone for her sins. Fate is such a trick, some people are vulgar for you, and some people are empty doors for you.
Kumarosh's mother's desire to convert to Buddhism was so strong that she even threatened her with her life, and Kumaro, who loved her so much, agreed to her request.
No one knows what was really going on in the heart of Kumarosh's mother, but only that Kumarosh, the once prominent child of the family, the prodigy known as the son of wisdom in the Kamez Kingdom, had a life very different from before.
In the 7th year, Kumarosh followed his mother to become a monk, traveled in the kingdom of Tianzhu, visited countless masters, and was familiar with all the Dharma.
People do not know how to evaluate This young experience of Kumarosh, the originally happy family suddenly fell apart, he lost the joy of childhood, which is a loss. However, it was this loss that made Kumarosh really come into contact with Buddhism and become a buddhist disciple who understood the great righteousness.
Kumarosh, who had integrated all the Buddhist cultures, took on his responsibility and embarked on the path of traveling around the world, making it his mission to preach the Dharma and purify all sentient beings. In the wind and rain, the snow and frost, Kumarosh walked in the harsh environment day after day, and the Dharma in his heart was the only light that guided it forward.
When he set foot on the land of the Eastern Lands, Kumarosh was pleasantly surprised, and he devoted himself to the work of translating the scriptures, and eventually became a generation of masters, famous all over the world.
People have always believed that even if such a person ignores fate, he still needs to accept the arrangement of fate. When Kumarosh attained fame, the enlightened monk had prophesied that if Kumarosh could adhere to the Buddhist precepts until the age of 36, he would become the second Buddha.
No one doubted Kumarosh, the man who was always strict with himself, always merciful and kind, why should he touch the pure precepts that he regarded as the highest faith? Unfortunately, Kumarosh himself did not break the rules, but someone forced him to become the person he hated.
During the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the countries were in constant turmoil, and the human world was in chaos. In 376 AD, Former Qin extinguished Liang and took control of the rule. In 382, the general Jian Jian sent Lü Guang to lead an army of 70,000 to attack the Western Regions, which was vast and unstoppable. Soon after the attack, Lü Guang broke through the turtle kingdom and met the famous Kumarosh.
In Lü Guang's view, Kumarosh was not superior, and was useless except for His beautiful countenance. He was deliberately provocative and used means to force Kumarosh to marry Princess Kamezi. As a monk, marriage was already a big taboo, but what was even more frightening was that Kumarosh broke the color ring.
Lü Guang was not accustomed to the purity and arrogance of Kumarosh, so he sent Kumarosh drunk into the cave and waited for Kumarosh to wake up, but it was too late.
The faith of the monastics is deliberately destroyed, so how will Kumarosh treat himself? Surprisingly, Kumarosh did not seek short-sightedness, he endured humiliation and continued to preach the Dharma, while at the same time immersed himself in learning Chinese and longing to one day impress the people of that completely strange land.
When Lü Guang led the large army to return to the dynasty, he once passed through the Hexi Corridor, and Kumarosh reminded him that there would be a flash flood in the place he had to pass, and Lü Guang had always hated Kumarosh and did not care at that time.
Who knew that at night the flash floods suddenly broke out, the lives of thousands of people were swallowed up by disasters, and in the night, Kumarosh recited the sutras over and over again, doing his best to give them the best ending.
After this battle, Kumarosh's abilities were recognized by Lü Guang, and he was invited to Liangzhou and became the exclusive Dharma master. In order to commemorate Kumarosh, Lü Guang even built the Kumarosh Temple, fading the aura he already had on his body, and Kumarosh, who came to the Central Plains, became a master of pure Pudu sentient beings.
Kumarosh assisted Lü Guang for 17 years, and in 17 years, Kumarosh established his prestige and became the founder of Chinese Buddhism.
There is no definite number of things in the world, and so is the change of regime. In 401, Emperor Yaoxing of Later Qin led an army to attack Liangzhou, and the army was like a broken bamboo, repelling Lü Guang and becoming the new lord of Liangzhou.
Kumarosh was Lü Guang's favorite, but he was not killed, on the contrary, Yao Xing enshrined him as a guest of honor. Also a staunch Buddhist enthusiast, Yao Xing invited Kumarosh to Chang'an to worship the state teacher.
As a monarch, Yao Xing often personally led his ministers to listen to the sermons of Kumarosh, and during the prosperous period, 5,000 monks followed Kumarosh to study Buddhism.
During the Han Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced to the Central Plains, and although the people were involved, they still could not directly contact Buddhist culture. Most buddhist scriptures are compiled in Sanskrit, and very few people in the Central Plains are proficient in Sanskrit, so the translated Buddhist scriptures are difficult to understand.
In order to further promote the Dharma, Yao Xing ordered Kumarosh to re-translate the Buddhist scriptures, and at the same time, he sent eight hundred monks to assist, and the scene of Kumarosh's translation was quite spectacular.
Kumarosh almost forgot to eat and sleep, and devoted all his energy to translation, and the Dapin Pan ruo sutra, the small pin ban ruo sutra, the miao fa lotus sutra, and the Diamond Sutra turned out to be a flourishing period, and Buddhist culture entered a period of prosperity. It is widely believed that Kumarosh laid the foundation for translated literature.
Not only because of his translations, but also because of his elegant and authentic translation ability. Nowadays, the daily vocabulary of the vast world, spotless, thinking of right and wrong, and crushing bones are all the handwriting of Kumarosh, and a large number of Buddhist ideas have been introduced to the Central Plains, and Kumarosh has made an indispensable contribution.
Just as Kumarosh was making a name for himself, an accident came quietly. "The master is clever and enlightened, and the world is unparalleled, but he can't make the Fa seed without heirs!" Yao Xing was very interested in the Buddhist bloodline of Kumarosh, and he hoped that Kumarosh would leave behind descendants and continue to benefit the country.
In order to continue the incense, Kumarosh was forced to accept ten singers, marry a second wife, break the color ring for the second time, and a monk, how sad.
With ten women and two sons, Kumarosh's encounter surprised everyone and caused the displeasure of many monks. In the same way, entering the void gate, and also taking the four great empty ideas as the standard, why can Kumarosh have everything in the world? Money, honor, status, love, their temptations are so great that many people are tempted.
Knowing the monks' arguments, Kumarosh did not say a word, and he gathered the people together and swallowed a bowl of iron on the spot, so he warned them: If you can swallow the iron truth like me, then everything can be imitated by me, and if you cannot do it, then demand yourself according to the original pure precepts.
In 413 AD, Kumarosh died in Chang'an and incarnated as a relic. It was enshrined in the Kumarosh Temple in Pingliang, Gansu Province, which is still well preserved and is admired and enshrined by people. The enlightened monk who had never come before or since, the monk closest to the red dust, the controversial man, had finally walked through his own life of ups and downs.
As a high monk who propagates buddhism, Kumarosh's achievements are beyond doubt, as a monk who is empty of the four majors, Kumarosh has not even reached the basic line, the world holds a positive attitude towards his great achievements, but Kumarosh is still unable to resist the overwhelming accusations and insults, a person other than red dust is good at red dust, how can mortals be calm?
First of all, indulgence is human nature and a human right. Human history is long and long, and freedom and self are eternal topics that run through it.
As Rousseau said: Man is born free, but he is always in chains. Choose freedom or indulgence? The contradiction of Kumarosh gives people an accurate answer.
Follow the heart, take the constraint as your own life principle, and find the joy of life within a limited range, so that it can be called a real life.
People criticize Kumarosh because he violates the most basic code of conduct of a monk, but the premise of becoming a monk is that Kumarosh is also a person, has his own seven passions and six desires, and has the right to pursue his own life.
Kumarosh did not have any wrong deeds, and should not bear the blame from all sides, if the pursuit of their own life is a mistake, what right do people have to enjoy life? Becoming a monk is not originally inferior, what is the purpose of those who stand on the moral high ground to condemn others?
Obviously, society regards monks as a special group, and in the eyes of non-Buddhist people, they are strange, and once the monks break the thinking mode of these people, they almost frantically export their sense of superiority, which is a social ill, and at the same time, people also develop a pathological psychology in the general environment.
Second, everyone is independent and no one should make decisions for others. Excluding the great influence of Kumarosh, the impression of Kumarosh remains only that he married a wife, had children of his own, broke the rules and precepts twice, and sin was unforgivable. However, the most important point is overlooked, the heart of Kumarosh.
Looking back at the two breaks of the vows of Kumarosh, both were imposed under the coercion of the monarch. No one knows the true feelings of Kumarosh's heart, forced to help? Nostalgic for red dust? As Keiko said: Zi is not a fish, and the joy of the fish is known? No one can experience the life of Kumarosh in person, and no one can make a decision for him to abide by the buddhist precepts.
Finally, the things before and after death are gone, and only human values are eternal. Breaking the Buddhist precepts twice, Kumarosh is still known as a monk of the ages, and he is still highly respected.
People miss him, he let the light of Buddhist culture shine all over the land of China, laying the foundation for the translation of literature in the Central Plains; people respect him, the master who still immersed himself in the study of Buddhism in a ruined life and dedicated his life to faith, and was once the salvation and comfort of many people.
Tagore once said: "Born like the splendor of summer flowers, dead like the quiet beauty of autumn leaves." "The meaning of life lies in the process, the pursuit of desperation and the uncompromising exploration. Before he died, he tried his best, and after his death, he was praised by others, such a life is dashing and rich, and it is wonderful enough. There is no cause for sleep, so that a life is empty, there is no gain, life is endless, and the struggle is not stopped.
