Concord has added a place to look up to, to communicate, and to be pinned down

Dear Faculty Members, Experts, Teachers, Distinguished Guests, Dear College Colleagues and Students:

Today, on the occasion of the centenary of the establishment of Concordia Medical College, let us pay tribute to the nine deceased presidents and deans who carry the history of Concord and development and represent the collaborative struggle of Concordia faculty and students in the form of statues.

These nine statues embody the emotions of the Concorde people. As an outstanding sculptor in the world, Mr. Wu Weishan has made legendary sculptures for historical figures in the world and China, including politicians, thinkers, science and technology. This time, he statued dozens of medical scientists and medical educators from the Union Medical College and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and I think this is the group of statues he has undertaken the largest number and the heaviest task. Today's nine statues are his first works, after which more statues of Concord Medical Will be erected on campus. Mr. Wu's painstakingly created this group of precious statues embodies his sincere feelings for Concordia Medical College and the medical community. The characteristic of the statue of the figure sculpted by Mr. Wu Weishan is that it can be intercourse.

The reason for the creation of these statues is to make the concord culture more materialized. The statues of the creators, bearers and propagators of these concord cultures quietly stand in the west courtyard of the No. 1 Auditorium of Concordia Medical College, silently telling us the history of Concord, conveying the spirit of Concord, and spreading the culture of Concord. Their eyes are filled with mission, responsibility, melancholy and hope. In the future, we can stand in front of these sages in the early morning, afternoon, dusk, or even night, communicate with them, reflect and motivate ourselves.

From today onwards, Concord has added a place where everyone can look up, communicate, and pin down.

Tribute to the sages. Thank you Mr. Wu Weishan. Thank you.
