Roy in Blade Runner is played by Rutger Hal at the age of 75

His agent confirmed that Rutger Hal, the character of Roy in Blade Runner, died at his home in the Netherlands on July 19 after a brief illness, and the funeral was held on July 24.

Rutger Hall was born in 1944 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, to parents who were drama teachers. At the age of 16, he began working part-time and studying theater at night school, and then joined the touring theater troupe; in 1973, he was appreciated by director Paul Van Hoeven and starred in his first Dutch film "Turkish Carnival"; in 1977, he became known as "Paul Newman of the Netherlands" for his role in "Under the Banner of the Nazi Army"; and in 1981, he successfully entered Hollywood with "Nighthawk" with Stallone. Since then, he has also participated in more than 100 works such as "Blade Runner", "Legend of the Eagle Wolf", "Iron Eagle Warrior", "Cold-Blooded Soldier", "Hitchhiker", "Zero Different Channel" and so on, and is widely known for shaping the classic image of the replicant roy in "Blade Runner".
