According to the Reddit leak, released before the sixth anniversary of Kill by Daylight, the next killer will come in a creepy form known as The Dredge. Developer Behavior Interactive originally launched Kill by Daylight on PC in 2016 and later ported asymmetric multiplayer adventure games to consoles. Since then, the popular horror game has made its way into almost every other major platform, including Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
Behavior Interactive's regular updates to Dead by Daylight keep players engaged for the long term, with some extra content occasionally introduced across brands with other popular IPs. In more recent crossover works of this type, the franchising of acts clashes with the Ringu film series in a chapter about the ghostly Sadako Yamamura. As the sixth anniversary of The Death by Daylight approaches, players are patiently awaiting what the development team will prepare for the next major update. With the anniversary live scheduled to go live on Tuesday, May 17, the wait for discovery won't last long.
Reddit user TimeLordAlexx (via PCGamesN) shared a leak that said that during the sixth anniversary update, a new killer called The Dredge will begin tracking down Dead by Daylight Survivors. The leaked screenshot also points out that psychic investigator Hadi Kaul joined the list of survivors, having previously appeared in several of Dawn's kills. Players may find themselves most attracted to The Dredge, an amnesiac-like monster whose special abilities include the privilege of turning a safe space normally used as a survivor into a deadly trap. It is speculated that Behaviour Interactive will previously feature The Dredge and Haddie Kaur on the Dead by Daylight anniversary broadcast later this month, which will air on May 17 at 1:00 p.m. PST. Leaked images and details suggest that the new killer can be counted among the most horrific dead to date.
Since its inception about six years ago, this asymmetrical multiplayer game has added a whole bunch of extra killers — including quite a few horror icons. Freddy Krueger, Halloween Michael Myers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre famed Leetherface and Spell's Ghost Face have all plagued Dead by Daylight's various survivors. It seems that Behavior Interactive will not complete support for titles anytime soon. So in the months following the release of the sixth anniversary content, it is still uncertain who will join the battle.
