There are not many men who choose not to marry for life because of love. I was still wondering why Jin Yuelin was so strong when I heard an almost identical version. This story sounds like this:
Both the hero and heroine are studying and living in Tsinghua. One of them was Zhou Peiyuan, a famous physicist who later served as president of Peking University. The other is Chen Daisun, a famous economist, the elder of Tsinghua University, and a generation of economic masters. Both fell in love with a "cultured" woman. What to do? The three of them reached an agreement that whoever went to the United States first got a doctorate, the female classmates would marry whom. After several years of hard study, Mr. Zhou and Mr. Chen passed the doctoral defense at the same time. After Mr. Zhou passed the defense, he did not get the degree certificate and bought a ticket to return to China. Mr. Chen thought he had to get a diploma and waited to get the certificate. After he returned to China, he found that this female classmate had become "Master Zhou's mother".
At the end of the story, Chen Daisun never married and became a lifelong friend of the Zhou family. The children of the Zhou family all called him "Father Chen". Like Lin Huiyin's children, they called Jin Yuelin "Golden Father". Xu Yuanchong, a famous translator who used to teach at the same school as Chen Daisun, recalled that when teaching at the Southwest United University, Chen Daisun had a list of talents, and the lectures were extraordinarily vivid and vivid. At that time, many girls fell in love and found a partner, and they all regarded Chen Daisun as a standard. Chen Daisun, who is in his forties, has not yet married because he and Zhou Peiyuan fell in love with a female classmate at the same time during their study in the United States, and after returning to China, this female classmate became Zhou Peiyuan's wife, resulting in Chen Daisun not marrying for life. But Chen Daisun's friendship with Zhou Peiyuan has not changed. ”
Tang Shi, a media person and writer, has paid homage to Chen Daisun many times. He wrote: "Beyond learning,...... It's an ancient myth. ...... According to those who believe in the supremacy of love, Dai Lao married for life and lived alone, from the age of 27 to 97. ”
Is this true or false? Master Tang did not ask Chen Daisun for confirmation, but only speculated himself: "I believe that what the masters and brothers have passed on is true, and from a personal emotional point of view, I prefer to firmly believe that it is true." Because this not only coincides with the heroic mode of my inner children's love, but also emphasizes the superhuman majesty of the old Taishan in front of me. ”
According to the daughters of the Zhou family, when recalling Chen Daisun, "In our eyes, Chen Dad is always a look, tall, tall, tall, steady pace, kind and deep eyes, mood and anger are never colored. Father often said that Chen Dad was a 'gentleman', well-educated, generous and upright. Mom said that Chen Dad told stories, and the people who listened to him had their stomachs burst with laughter, and he was still as calm as water, as if he hadn't said anything. Chen Daisun and Zhou Peiyuan specialized in their respective academic fields, and unlike Lin Huiyin and Jin Yuelin, they were famous inside and outside the literary and art circles, and this story could not be publicized into a legend. But Chen Daisun did not marry in his life, nor did he fall in love, let alone have a cohabiting girlfriend.

Chen Daisun's niece Tang Sifu said in the article "Century Peers - Remembering Uncle Chen Daisun": Uncle is the only son, and the family needs to rely on him to pass on the generations. <b>With the influence of his family and the traditional education of human responsibility, he could never forget his responsibilities for the sake of loving his friend's wife, and ignore the lifelong anxiety of his mother because he was unmarried, and do things contrary to ethics and morality. </b>It is precisely because Mr. Chen Daisun is devoted to studying and studying, and he is introverted, reserved, clean and self-righteous, and emphasizes that marriage must be two-phase willingness... Tang Sifu also wrote an article "The Story of The False" to clarify the story of Chen and Zhou's love enemies. The article revealed that this was a "triangular story" invented by a certain "genius" in the "Cultural Revolution" and disclosed as exposé materials in the big character newspaper of Peking University. Tang Sifu said: "My mother came home after reading the big character newspaper and asked: Big brother, is this true?" 'Bullshit! Mr. Chen replied emphatically. Looking back on this matter, I speculate that maybe we have seen too many men with watery Yanghua and heard too many stories of seeing different thoughts. Therefore, we need the golden stone quality of real men like Chen Daisun and Jin Yuelin too much.
And the general public's "aesthetic love" from beginning to end is a gritted tooth longing. If he couldn't get it himself, he made a specimen from the former man and offered it to his heart.
In fact, there is no need to be so poignant.
Mr. Chen's life, no matter which section is pulled out, is enough for posterity to admire!
After mr. Chen was famous, he joined Tsinghua at the age of 18, stayed in the United States at the age of 20, obtained a doctorate from Harvard at the age of 26, and became the director of the Department of Economics of Tsinghua University at the age of 28. "The economist, the economy of the people", is his interpretation of the concept of "economy", which is still used today.

As the founder of economics at Tsinghua University, Chen Daisun was the last scholar of his generation to go. Like his contemporaries, his spirit, demeanor, integrity, and intelligence will always warm future generations.
