The original intention of the Institute of Advanced Research of the University of Electronic Science and Technology in Shenzhen is to actively serve the major national strategy and build a new base for high-level talents, a new source of scientific research, and a new engine for the conversion of achievements.
The industrial base of Longhua District is highly matched with the talent advantages and discipline advantages of our University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, especially the "Digital Longhua" trinity, which is highly compatible with the current layout and future development of the Institute of Advanced Studies, and provides a very good platform for the development of longhua.
We also combined the advantages of Longhua to identify 5 major scientific research areas - artificial intelligence, integrated circuits and electronic information materials, next-generation wireless communication, information security and basic software, advanced testing and intelligent manufacturing, relying on the 11 national innovation platforms of the University of Electronic Science and Technology, respectively, to establish sub-centers in Longhua, at the same time, increase and Longhua various research institutions, especially leading enterprises in Longhua subdivision field of in-depth cooperation, build a joint research center, on the one hand, scientific research to solve major national needs, On the other hand, docking longhua industry, solving the problem of card neck, in turn to promote the construction of scientific research, two-way mapping to promote the development of Longhua industry.
On the other hand, we pay great attention to the construction of scientific research teams and implement the "talent first" strategy, which is also highly compatible with the "Dragon Dance Huazhang" talent plan, and we also rely on this plan to accelerate the landing of talent strategy.
Therefore, in the introduction and cultivation of talents, we deeply feel that the set of talent service chains built by Longhua District is very complete, which provides a good support for the implementation of the development strategy of the Institute of Advanced Studies. In more than a year, we have gathered about 200 full-time and part-time teachers and scientific research teams, and more than 50 people have won the title of high-level talents in Shenzhen.
At the same time, we cultivate talents, which must be cultivated in the context of the deep integration of industry, education and research, and these talents are also the reserve force for future scientific research. Therefore, we implement a dual tutor system, one is an academic tutor, and the other is a tutor group composed of high-level engineers, technical research and development personnel and experts in the enterprise. The topics carried out by our students are not purely theoretical topics, but problems from the industry, and scientific problems extracted from the engineering problems that the industry needs to solve, and the solutions can be fed back into the industrial development more quickly, so that the talents cultivated are closer to the needs of the industry.
In the next step, we hope that through the Longhua platform, we will open up the channels for talent training, scientific research and achievement conversion, and achieve three openings:
The channel from engineering application talents to high-level talents, the channel from basic research to applied research and even the incubation and transformation of achievements. Based on these two channels, we will seamlessly connect talent training, scientific research and achievement transformation, and make our contribution to the organic connection and deep integration of the industrial chain, talent chain, innovation chain and education chain to form an ecosystem.
