In an interview with former WWE emcee Lillian Garcia's solo podcast, Their Way to the Ring, WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin spoke about why he no longer signed a full-time contract with WWE.
"Lillian, I don't want to go on a national or even global tour anymore. When I wrestled full-time, I probably worked at full capacity for thirteen or four years until I broke my neck and was forced out of the wrestling ring. At that time, I loved what it was like to be on the tour, but as time went on, I missed more and more the feeling of being at home, in that only one and a half days of rest, to experience the real life. ”
"The truth is, when I was working in wrestling, I loved the industry, I loved wwe as a company. I dedicate all my passion here, that's what my life is all about, it's the only profession I want to pursue. But once I made the decision to retire, I stopped getting interested in full-time wrestling and endless tours. But now I'm still part of the WWE family, and I always will be. ”
