Ou Da Ren was an official who was just and cared about the people. During his tenure as a teacher in Jiangdu, he said that the two Huaiyan government affairs were concerned about the well-being of the small people, believing that "if you do not seek their roots, you will do your best to bring them to justice, and you will be flogged at the end of the day, and the days will be insufficient, and you will carry the ears of the small people who are easy to eat in vain." During his tenure at Dali Temple, he worked tirelessly and exhausted himself, and there were many unjust cases of rehabilitation. The powerful and powerful violate the law, and they will never be partial, and they will try to exclude public opinion and deal with them according to law, so as to save innocent people.

The South Garden is nostalgic and the poetry is famous

Ou Daren is most well known and praised by the world as one of the "Five Sons of the South Garden", which occupies an important position in the poetry circle of Lingnan and even the entire Ming Dynasty. During the Ming Dynasty, Ou Da served at the former site of Nanyuan and composed the poem "Five Huai" to express his nostalgia and admiration for Mr. Wu of Nanyuan. Later, Ou Daren, Liang Youyu, Li Minbiao, Li Shixing, and Wu Dan often sang poetry and wine, and were known as the "Five Gentlemen of The South Garden". Tan Cui composed "Preface to the Poetry of the Five Gentlemen after the South Garden": "Lingnan is called poetry, qujiang is after, Mo Sheng is in the South Garden; ten mr.s before and after the South Garden, and the last five mr.s are Yousheng". Ou Daren is the first of the five gentlemen of Nanyuan, and his poetic talent is outstanding, not only in the Lingnan poetry circle, but also famous in the imperial capital, and Li Panlong and Wang Shizhen, who are on behalf of the literary circle, respect each other and are each other's poetry friends. The Longqing Emperor also heard his name and gave him the word "No Two" to express his appreciation for his talent and temperament.
