Zhou Chenzi Shunqing (舜卿), a native of Wu (present-day Suzhou), died in the 14th year (i.e. 1535) of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty. Zhou Chen was a famous professional painter in the middle of the Ming Dynasty. He lived between Chenghua and Jiajing. He is good at painting people and landscapes, and his painting method is strict and meticulous. He had two particularly famous students, one Tang Yin and the other Qiu Ying, Tang Yin and Qiu Yingqing out of the blue, very close in style, but at that time the fame had surpassed the teacher.

Zhou Chen landscape master Inherited Chen Xian. He has painstakingly copied works by Li Cheng, Guo Xi, Li Tang, Ma Yuan and other works, which are mainly taken from the Li Tang faction. The painting of mountains and stones is solid, the rules are rigorous, and the pen is skilled. Once with Dai Jin, they have each other's strengths. The figure paintings are also very outstanding, ancient and strange, dense and scattered, and have their own extremes. The Nanjing Museum's masterpiece "Farewell To the Chai Gate" depicts the scene of a literati visiting friends with a piano, the main guest is reluctant to give up when they are separated, the bright moon has long been hanging in the sky, the boatman has been asleep at the bow of the ship, until the guest is about to board the ship, he has not yet come, indicating the long time of the host and guest farewell, the depth of friendship, which also integrates the integration of Zhou Chen's painting "courtyard painting" and "literati painting".

Zhou Chen is known as the "Courtyard School" painter of the non-Yuan school. He is also a rich painter, and there are many works handed down, only the Shanghai Museum collects 7 large works such as "Spring Mountain Travel Map", 14 small fan pages, the Palace Museum collects "Spring Mountain Riding Map", "Spring Spring Mountain Hidden Map", etc., Jinan Museum has "Visiting Friends Map", and some works are also collected in major museums in Taiwan and abroad. Zhou Chen's surviving works are well structured, the width is powerful, and the pen is meticulous.

Good at painting landscapes and people. The style is fresh, and Tang Yin and Qiu Ying once learned to paint from it.

The landscape painter Chen Xian (1405-1496), who copied Li, Guo, Ma and Xia from the Song Dynasty, was skilled in penmanship, and the so-called connoisseur Yisheng'er. If they are driven together with Dai Jin (1388-1462), they have mutual strengths, and it is not known whether their results will be the first. He is also a master in the courtyard body. Part-time work figures, ancient and strange, dense and scattered, each polar attitude. Chu Chen gave Tang Yin (1470-1523) the painting method, and Yin used the name of the painting, or for the reward, but asked the subject to do it on his behalf, not with his eyes.
